The Bosch GSR18V-800CN showcases superior user control and professional durability in a powerful drill/driver. Featuring an efficient and powerful brushless motor, the drill delivers an impressive 565 In.-Lbs. of max torque for heightened performance. The tool is fitted with KickBack Control, which reduces the risk of sudden rotational torque reaction in bind-up scenarios. A bright, LED work light illuminates dimly lit spaces for increased visibility on the job, and the switchable precision clutch feature ensures greater control when switched on by stopping the tool when clutch slippage is detected. The compact and ergonomic design provides for improved handling and greater comfort. Two speed settings offer options for both high speed (0-2,100 rpm) and high torque (0-630 rpm), while the 20+1 clutch settings help to tailor the tool to a range of applications. And with an all-metal chuck, the drill/driver was made for optimal durability.

Great drill
I used this drill hard for about 10 years before it died. It held up for longer than I expected. This order was a replacement.

Good overall with 2 issues
Great drill… good Chuck, great speed with a 4ah core. Good power for size. Not much for the connected app stuff. Been using it for a while now and 2 things irk me . 1 it blows right in my face. Theres an exhaust on top. 2 the anti kickback has to be turned off every time if your doing work that sets it off. And I don’t mean that it has to be turned off for each battery, but every time you pull the trigger. That is very bad.

Best drill available for most people
Absolutely great drill. It’s very powerful, reasonably light. and handles well. The smaller size belies the power it can produce. The safety feature which stops the drill if it binds up should be included on every drill, unfortunately very few offer it. This drill is built like a tank and will probably last a lifetime.

Why so complicated??? Itâs a drill.
I wanted a fancy replacement drill since my basic no-nonsense 18V Bosch was acting up. I suppose I used it as a hammer once too many times. This replacement (I think) has a problem with the torque settings. I canât get the chuck to lock up when replacing a drill bit. I had to do research and watch google videos because, apparently, thereâs some kind of torque-bypass button?!?!? OMG. Dumbest idea ever. The torque bypass option lights up and I turned it off but STILL I CANâT GET THE CHUCK TO STOP ROTATING TO REPLACE A BIT. I blame myself for wanting to spend extra money and getting an expensive over engineered product. If I had to do it again IâD SPEND LESS MONEY and get less complicated.

Love Bosch Power Tools
I’ve owned a 12V Bosch li-ion compact drill & accessories now for several years now. It is great for light & medium duty DIY jobs. This 18V drill/driver is it’s big brother. Same great feel, balance, long battery life, torque, etc. I haven’t used it much yet, but i love it. Appreciate the fact that it has a 1/2″ chuck vs. 3/8″, but similar overall size & weight as other 3/8″ tools. The metal chuck has a smooth, quality feel. The built-in work light is not super bright but sufficient at the factory default setting. I can’t confirm the “kickback control” since I haven’t ‘stuck’ the drill yet, but the idea sounds great. This drill has enough torque (565 in-lbs) with the clutch off to really snap your wrist.Common frustrations with cordless tools are the proprietary designs of the batteries; they’re not interchangeable between brands. I was excited to see this drill utilizes the “amp share battery system”. My excitement waned when I researched what brands utilize the “amp share battery system”. They appear to be primarily German/European brands that I’m not familiar with, see attached pic. That aside, I give this drill/driver 5 stars. It is a top shelf power tool.
