    Strong and Sturdy
I used these to build a work bench 5 foot long. Also installed casters on the bottom (E.R. Wagner Plate Caster: E.R. Wagner Plate Caster, Swivel with Total-Lock Brake, Polyurethane on Polyolefin Wheel, Roller Bearing, 750 lbs Capacity, 5″ Wheel Dia, 2″ Wheel Width, 6-1/2″ Mount Height, 4-1/2″ Plate Length, 4″ Plate Width). Used 1-1/4″ angle iron and 1/2″ plywood on top of 3/4″ solid oak boards. Also placed a 3/4″ plywood shelf below. I use the bench to place my complete flathead 6 cyl engine on top of and the bench does not wobble, flex or anything. Moves along great across my garage floor (w/engine).I knew these legs where sturdy when, while assembling, I had attached the legs to the upper frame and as soon as I attached horizontal pieces across the front and back the legs sturdied up and did not move – rock solid. I could not believe how they framed up and had no doubt the bench would accept the load I intended. I don’t think I could have found a better set of heavy duty legs at such a price. They saved me a lot of work by being pre-made and all I had to do was frame in.

The good: extremely heavy-duty welded angle iron construction
I ordered two of these to attach to a Grizzly 9919 butcher block bench top (see my review on that product). I plan to use it as an all-purpose desk and work surface, so I wanted something stable and durable. The good: extremely heavy-duty welded angle iron construction, attractive finish that feels like it will be durable, good value. The less-good:- Very sharp corners make them difficult to handle – they poke through the shipping boxes and the finish gets rubbed off, and then they poke through upholstery as you try to assemble them in your living room (my fault, haha).- The “flat” surface that is meant to interface with the bench top is far from flat, so I will have to take extra steps to make sure everything stays square as they get bolted down.- Holes for attaching to the bench top are spaced almost at random, so measuring won’t help you drill the necessary holes in the top – you have to mock everything up and mark where the holes should go. The hole patterns on the two sets of legs are meant to be the same, but they’re different enough that they won’t be interchangeable. This will be acceptable for my application but it requires some extra thought and it’d be a pain if I had to do it more than once.- A total of four of the holes (two per leg, one in each corner) are unusable because they are right up against the vertical member of the frame and thus won’t allow you to use a washer or turn an oversized bolt head.- Speaking of bolts, these shipped with all the necessary hardware to attach the feet, but it was more or less loose in the box – the box that, as I said before, had big holes in it. Somehow I ended up with the right number of flat washers and lock washers, but lost a bolt. I went and bought all new bolts and washers because Home Depot didn’t carry M10 and I figured it would be easier to have everything be standard sizes.Overall, I would buy these again, but they have limitations that must be considered. Thanks for reading.

    Misshapen and uneven.
These are not great. There must not be any quality control. Bolt holes do not line up. One leg is about half an inch shorter than the rest thus making a wobbly end product. Would not recommend.

    Not quite square
The shop fox legs work well, just don’t expect a high level of finish. Very few things are flush or square, for example the flanges that bolt to the counter were about 3-4 degrees off level and the ends were about 5 degrees off square. They bolted up and work fine, just cheap craftsmanship, if you can call it that. Also one set was missing 4 bolts and washers for attaching the top

    Heavy Duty
Ok, so first off the great big text says it’s 34″ deep. Later on they mention 36″ deep. Not at all clear which one is correct. It turns out that 36 is the magic number. Actually it’s just a bit *over* 36″ so you have to decide which side of your bench has about 1/16″ of metal hanging out. Yes you could easily grind this off and re-paint.Second, who in the world buys half of the legs for a table? I suppose somebody does. I can see cases where you might anchor one end to a wall. In the other 99% of the cases ….. people only use these things two at a time. Package them that way.Third, the legs do not go low enough for a 30″ table height. If you want to attach the lower section to the upper section, it goes to 30″ leg height. That’s a bit over the spec quoted and puts a 2″ table top up around 32″. Yes you could get out the hacksaw and do a mod to the legs. Finally, if you have the legs at minimum height, the only place to attach the stringer is quite high up on the legs. You have to attach it like a shelf rather than a stringer to make it work at all. If you are planning on a shelf … don’t bother to buy the stringer. With all that, why 4 stars? Very sturdy legs that do just that they are supposed to. Bump into them with anything short of a Sherman tank and they will do fine.Bob

    Horrible quality
If you want something that looks like they gave a 5 year old a welder and a can of spray paint then this is the product for you…. horrible looking welds. Welding splatter not cleaned up and multiple spots where it just wasn’t painted or chipped off right out of the box.Spend the extra money and get the better quality ones that are similar to these.

I ordered and received the 28″ legs, but found them to be a little small for my 36″W bench. I returned them and reordered the 34″W legs and they are perfect. Bench is almost finished, just needs one more coat of paint. I would highly recommend these 34″ legs. Thanks, Bill
