My father got this air fryer due to his limited sight. I helped set it up and I think itâs going to be super easy to use for him! The size is perfect, the functionality is great considering most air fryers have touch screens.

I thought it lasted 1 day.
Some people reviewed that it worked only 1 time, so when I tried to use mine for a 2nd time and the food did not cook, I thought about those reviews. Fortunately, I did not let it drop at that. The problem, was not that it did not work, it was that the machine confused me, on human error. When I turned on the temp, there was a sort of activation noise, and when I started the timer, it was clicking. (like you hear on non battery powered kitchen windup timers)Getting where this is going� That is right, the 2 dials make noises, independent of power. The Air fryer was not plugged in. Just check if this is the case, before you trouble yourself, with a return.

Amazing little machine
This is my first air fryer. I had my doubts, but Wow! I love this thing and bought another one for my RV. It’s basically a tiny high-temp convection oven that sits on the counter. I use it to make pizza (small), french fries, onion rings, chicken wings, shrimp, fish filets, fried green tomatoes, hush puppies, and anything that I used to think needed a deep fat fryer, but now without the fuss or the fat!. Like any other kitchen tool, , you need to experiment and learn how to use it. I’m an experienced cook and I’m not easily impressed, but I can say this little gizmo has been a game changer for me. I now have one in my kitchen and one in my RV, and both work flawlessly. I tested the temperature settings with my meat thermometer and they were right on the dot. Even though it holds a surprising amount of food, it really is small and can’t replace a big oven. It’s perfect for two people like us. It’s also easy to clean. I’ve only had these for a few months, so I can’t say much about durability, but I might buy a couple more just for backups.

I found this little fryer at the grocery store on sale for $30. We used it last night for some breaded chicken and it came out perfectly golden brown.Our previous fryer was smaller and without a temperature control, so this is an upgrade having a temp control and larger.Although it worked well, I turned it on this morning and the fan rattled and it had a hard time getting going. I suspect the fan just needs to be tightened a little or balanced, but itâs worrisome to have it rattling the second use. The whole machine teeters around as well, and doesnât seem to be missing any feet.The ding when done is a cheerful little bell.TLDR: For $30 I think itâs great if it lasts, I donât think I would pay more for it though, so definitely pick up on a Prime Day or Black Friday or something. Itâs basic and perfect size for two people, probably too small if youâre making a meal for 4 or more unless itâs just a side.Update 1 yr later: Works like a champ. Kiddo took it to his first apartment bc he liked it so much. Worth $30.

Bought a Toastmaster TM-170AF a few years ago. The basket safety switch failed. I can replace it if available, but no parts available for this unit. The unit is still available online if you search for it! How can that be? Would think twice about buying another one. Check for the date of manufacture before buying.
