the stainless steel screws won’t rust like steel and as long as you are going to get the job done there is no reason to save a few bucks and do it with anything else.

Works well, but…
I used these for a deck replacement and was not replacing the joists but adding new deck boards, fascia and railing system. The main thing is that these screws generally look great and work well, particularly when screwing into fresh pressure treated wood. However, if you hit a knot or in my case some of the old joists were very hard and dense. In those situations the screws would occasionally fail where the head pops off.However, now that the job is complete they look great. My failure rate was about 2%. Doesn’t seem like much, but it was a huge project using over 2,200 screws and when they fail you would need to screw a new one at an angle to cover up the hole. This will also make any future repairs a little more difficult with an occasional hidden screw holding down a deck board that you may need to remove.All that said, if you use grade 1 lumber and it is all new … you will have little trouble with this product.

Used these to re-attach the boards on my tide water pier after the original nails rusted out. Anticipate they will last a long long time.

Defective marine, gray decking screws
Out of the first 20 screws the heads of broke off of them not up to the quality they should be. Donât trust these for an important job in a marine area!!!!!
