Middle Earth Light!
This is probably technically a Mission style fixture but we affectionately refer to it as our Hobbit light! So cool. So much character. Careful though, the glass globe is very delicate. The first one I ordered came with a broken globe. I had to get a replacement. The threads are strange and not as secure as they should be on the glass globe too. Another reviewer referred to installing it on a non-vibrating wall so it wouldnât vibrate off, which his did. Ours is concrete so I guess we have that covered! Nevertheless, I also got some Anti-seize lubricant to put on the threads to gum them up. Pipe dope might work even better. I’m sure there are many substances that one can think of to gum up the threads and make them more secure and even cushion them from breakage in the socket.But even if the globe breaks long after the return window closes it still won’t be a big deal. All you have to do is get a big round vanity/globe lightbulb and you won’t even notice a difference! I really like this light fixture, not the least of which reason that I am a huge fan of the Middle Earth stories but also simply that it is just so danged attractive! I also really appreciate the day/night photo-sensor! I would definitely buy again! Cheers!

Simple and functional!
Itâs a very basic outdoor light but does have dusk to dawn functions so we can leave the switch on all the time. Install is simple, if youâve done one light you can do them all. The only disappointing oversight is that this did not include a foam gasket for where it meets the electrical box. So some caulk was in order. Overall it works great and looks nice in a minimalist sort of way.Glass shade threads to the fixture directly for quick bulb changes and cleanings which I thought was unusual but a little neat!

Great design, but no support!
The fixture is compact, has a round mounting plate and offers dusk-to-dawn automatic control, all of the features I was looking for. It also has a clean, attractive appearance. The standard E26 base also gave me options for different bulbs to use to get the warmth of light and intensity I desired. Unfortunately in my experimentation with different illumination effects, I used an Edison bulb that was too long and it actually punched a hole in the bottom of the eggshell thin glass lens when I installed it. My bad, but I was hoping to resolve the issue by contacting the sellerâs customer service team as suggested in their listing and purchase a new glass shade. Unfortunately in my quest, I found a small list of standard questions and prewritten responses, but no means or existence of a team to actually communicate with. Although Amazon offers an exceptional return policy, considering the circumstance I will forgo that as an option. Although I really like this fixture, I found the lens to be way too thin, thinner than any outdoor fixture I have ever seen, and their advertised âcustomer service teamâ to be nonexistent or at least unobtainable, both of which are extremely disappointing.

Good looking Porch Light
I installed this SKXEXI Outdoor Porch Light on my neighbor’s front porch. This was the most difficult install that I have done over the years, but not because of this light fixture, it was due to my neighbor’s house. The electrical box on my neighbor’s house was the smallest that I have ever seen. It was the normal long wise, but only half the normal width. In addition to that, the stucco wasn’t nice and smooth, and when I had the mounting bracket installed on the electrical box, it was recessed in a little bit, which made it to where the screws couldn’t push through the light fixture. What I ended up doing was placing a thick rubber washer and a nut on each of the screws between the mounting bracket and the electrical box, and that pushed it out enough to where the screws were far enough out to fit through the fixture. This was a very unique problem, so you probably won’t run into this issue, but if you do, I just told you how to fix it. I also want to state that this issue has nothing to do with this particular light fixture, so even though it took more work to get it mounted, it wasn’t the light fixture’s fault.Once we got it installed, this light fixture looks really good. The dusk to dawn sensor works great. Just make sure that the light bulb you are planning on using with this isn’t too long. I have some vintage Edison LED bulbs that would look great in this fixture, but they are too long. My neighbor loves this light fixture, and they love that they can now leave the light switch to the on position and not worry about it.

Great small fixture…
A cute small light I ordered to replace a light fixture of about the same size. It was easy and clear instructions to install. Make sure to cut the breaker or main before attempting to install or call a pro if you’re not familiar with this . It came out cute and is the perfect size. the glass globe is nice to because it completely covers the bulb from wind rain and the elements. The glass globe comes on and off easily by holding and twisting. It feels nice and solid not cheap. The dusk to dawn feature is nice because I do forget to turn it on and off so it’s automatically on at dark and shuts itself off.

Great light!
I love this, Iâm not as concerned in the winter, but all summer I have to remember to turn this light on by dusk every night, as I use it to light up my flag every night.With this new light, I can just leave the switch in the position and it comes on at dusk and turns off in the morning.It was very easy to install, took about 20 minutes to turn off the power remove the old fixture install the new fixture and turn the power back on. It worked flawlessly the first night and every night since I put it in.I use an 8.5w (60w replacement) 5000K bright LED bulb because I want to make sure my flag is well lit, and it will also help out when I go outside to shovel snow in the evening in winter.
