Customers say

Customers find these wireless earbuds to be better than AirPods with good sound quality and noise cancellation, particularly praising the noise-cancellation and transparency modes. Moreover, the battery life is impressive, lasting up to 35.5 hours, and customers consider them fantastic value for audio lovers. However, functionality and connectivity receive mixed reviews – while the ANC works incredibly well, some report the earbuds stop working, and while they instantly pair with phones, some customers experience connection issues. Additionally, durability is mixed, with some finding them very solid while others report them breaking easily after a month of use.

Quality earbuds for a great price point!
First things first: you can connect to two devices at the same time.Amazing.I use this primarily when I’m working so I can hop on a Teams call before seamlessly switching back to a podcast.Sound quality is great and it sounds good in my Teams test calls (the only way I can hear myself using the mic lol)! The app is beautifully made and it’s very easy to customize gestures. One drawback (if you can call it that) is the case needs to be charged with a cable. However, it charges quickly and I don’t find myself needing to charge it often, even when using the earbuds for ~30 hrs/week.This is my first Nothing product and I really gotta say… loving it so far! Quality at a very, very reasonable price.

    Here we go again
I find myself saying this in every review on audio products, but here it is again. I’m a full time DJ, who produces and consumes a lot of music on the side. Big audiophile. I had the Sony Wh-1000xm3s the first year they were available. They broke. Bought the Nothing Ear 1s to replace them. Crapped out within a month. OK, I need wireless, preferably with ANC, and now after shredding my wallet with the top of the market I thought I’d give a really cheap option a try. If they break, whatever, it’s 40 bucks.Pros: they sound really good. I tried them across a whole bunch of genres, from tech house to 60s Stones. They overcompensate on the bass a lot, but that’s common with cheaper headphones, make it feel like more is there. However, I compared them with my brother’s AirPod Pros and they sounded extremely similar in the high end. A very good overall sound. Another pro is that they use the same awesome app from Nothing. Very intuitive, some great presets. Touch controls and transparency mode is something I had to pay like $400 for 4+ years ago. Seeing that kind of engineering in a pair of $40 buds is beyond impressive. They’re made out of plastic, so they feel fine in your ears for extended periods of time. They look great as well, which doesn’t hurt. BATTERY LIFE! I haven’t charged the case since I bought them less than a week ago and the case is still at 70%Cons: DON’T DROP THEM. I haven’t, but I feel like if I did they’d shatter. The charging case feels like 10 times cheaper than the Ear 1s did. I feel like they included a lanyard ring for a reason. All in all, hope they hold up better than Nothing’s flagship did, because I really like them. They sound good, they’re cheap, comfy and have great battery life. If you’re considering I’d say send it! Only 40 bucks, audio has come a LONG way.*edit 6 months later* Earbuds still work as well as when I bought them. No issues I felt with the Nothing Ear 1s, they sound fine and the NC is great. At some point I’m probably gonna upgrade to Sony’s earbud or headset line but these have been beyond fantastic budget options. 5/5 for sure, durability, sound and quality. They do it all. Highly recommend.*edit a year later* They still sound great, the anc works great but sometimes when you take them out of your ear and put them in the case they DON’T CHARGE. You’ll pull left out and it’s at 1%. WHY? I’ve had it in the case for hours while I was doing something else! Huge gripe, but the only one I’ve had since buying these.

CMF Buds vs CMF Buds Pro 2
I ordered these CMF Buds as well as the more expensive CMF Buds Pro 2 so I could compare them and decide if the moderately higher price of the Buds Pro 2 was worth it. TLDR: The Buds Pro 2 provide a noticeably superior experience and are easily worth the extra money if you have a discerning ear.I am an audiophile who worked in the home theater industry for several years, including installing and calibrating home audio systems for authentic and dynamic music reproduction. I care about accurate sound reproduction and clarity, but I also enjoy dynamic sound that I can feel. I always want to experience the full range of sounds present in a recording. So that’s my baseline as I evaluate speakers and headphones. These CMF Buds sound good, with punchy bass and no distortion, but it was difficult to get the right balance of mids and highs that provide crystal clear sound without it getting too tinny. In contrast, the Buds Pro 2 provide great bass while also providing clear mids and highs without being harsh or tinny.Bass is good in both products, but again, the Buds Pro 2 come out on top because they can provide bass without getting muddy. The bass is there, but it does not overpower the mids or highs.Spatial Audio on the Buds Pro 2 does a good job of creating a better sound stage. It really does put you in the middle of the music and it enhances the space between the left and right audio tracks. It also enhances the clarity of the audio. Listening to “Take 5” by the Dave Brubeck quartet is a joy on the Buds Pro 2 and hearing the difference with spatial audio on vs off highlights the virtues of Spatial Audio. The original Buds do not support Spatial Audio, so this is a clear advantage of the Buds Pro 2.Noise Cancelling is good on both, with the Buds Pro 2 providing a higher level of noise cancellation. I am not often in noisy environments, so I can’t comment on the differences between these two products. The one thing I can comment on is the clarity of the Transparency mode. With the original buds I tried turning on clarity mode while at work and having a conversation with coworkers. My coworkers sounded muffled and my own voice sounded to me like I was wearing earplugs. It was not a good experience. However, with the Buds Pro 2 the transparency mode works really well. I can still tell I have my ear buds in, but I can easily hear others and my own voice is only slightly annoying coming through the ear buds. :)Call clarity is good on both. I could hear the other person very well, and they said I sounded good. I don’t take many calls with the ear buds, but so far I have not noticed any differences in any aspect of the call quality. The case click-wheel on the Buds Pro 2 is really enjoyable to use. As I wear the ear buds at my desk in my office job, I often use the click-wheel to adjust the volume, play/pause my music, and switch between noise cancelling and transparency mode. Each of these functions work well and the tactile feel of the wheel is really satisfying.Bottom LineThe CMF Buds and Buds Pro 2 are both good products. If you want a solid pair of earbuds and you are a casual listener, the original Buds should work well for you. If you are picky about music quality and want to ensure an audio experience that you really enjoy, the Buds Pro 2 are easily worth the extra money.
