I’m so grateful this facial serum has no aloe in the ingredients!!
I had been using a different brand of vitamin C serum for about four years, until over the past year I developed an allergy to aloe vera, aloe barbadensis, aloe leaf juice, etc. (i.e. anything with aloe). I love the effects of vitamin C on the skin, but all skin products with aloe had started to cause my skin to break out in rashes over the past year. It didn’t take me very long to figure out that it was aloe, but I spent months of trial/error testing out and confirming that aloe was the guilty culprit in various skin products. This was especially unpleasant to deal with on my face. Small rashes on my cheeks from using aloe-containing products were taking a couple of weeks or more to clear up. It’s cosmetically harder to deal with an allergic rash on the face, so I had to stop using my last vitamin C facial serum altogether. I searched high and low, for a very long time for a facial vitamin C serum without aloe in it, reading all the ingredients in vitamin C facial serums on Amazon and another website. It seemed like there was nothing available without aloe, so I was thrilled when I finally found this one that does not contain aloe! I have been using RevivaLabs’ “High Potency Vitamin C Serum” product on my face and neck for a couple of months now, and I haven’t had any rashes/break-outs at all! I strongly hope the company does not ever change the formula to add aloe barbadensis to the ingredients! I am getting to enjoy all the benefits of vitamin C and hyaluronic acid on my face again, without the inflammation caused by aloe. This facial serum also contains several other herbal extracts, feels very soothing to my skin as I put it on, and has an immediate hydrating effect on my facial skin. So far, I love it!
