More reliable for outdoors than third-party ones that use a USB-C + power adapter, love it
This official Google Nest cable is much more reliable, so far, than a third-party outdoor power wire + adapter that I ordered and failed within a month. I decided to pay a bit more and go with the official Google weatherproof power cord for the battery Nest Cam. I’m glad that I did. I get consistent power to my camera so I can run the camera and record 24/7, always visible and live on my docked Pixel tablet along with my other cameras. I also like that it uses a built-in plug rather than a USB-C cable and separate power adapter like many of the non-Google choices. This was a good, albeit more expensive choice. But I have faith in it, and will update if it fails.

A huge time saver. I had power available so bought for all 4 of my battery cameras outside. Easy to run and no more charging regularly. We are away often on RV trips so the peace of mind is awesome, not worrying about cameras dying while away. Definitely recommended.

Great quality and have kept my google nest cameras charged 24/7 so far. Expensive but necessary. After market cables wonât charge the cams continuously. I already tried. So, save time and money trying the cheap option and go buy this from the start. Youâll thank me later.

Super long cord
Very long cord worked great to hardwire my Google nest Camera. Extends the battery life to infinity. The cord is thick and built well. Magnetizes to the nest cam.

Works, But at a Price
Camera works with this plugged in and I get the infinity symbol for battery status. But, $35 ?!?!! This is one-third the price of the entire camera. I guess Google is not making enough money. However, I have seen reviews about issues related to third party power adapters used with the camera, particularly related to the battery, so maybe there is some ultra sophisticated engineering and fabrication behind the OEM product that does not meet the eye.

Good quality cable you should expect from Google however came with a USA plug so a bit pointless for the UK market. This should have been mentioned in the description so I am able to make an informed choice to purchase a UK converted with it.Would be 5 stars if fitted with a UK plug for the UK market!
