Customers say
Customers find these LED bulbs bright with a high lumen output of 1400 LM, providing good illumination for kitchen spaces and offering excellent value through energy savings. They appreciate the color quality, noting they’re not yellowish or blueish, and one customer mentions they’re an improvement over earlier LED bulbs. The functionality and lifespan receive mixed reviews – while some report they work perfectly, others say they stop working, and while some bulbs last 20 years, many burn out within 2.5 years. The dimming feature also gets mixed feedback, with some saying it works while others report terrible performance.

Replace my Par 38 ceiling recessed incandescent lights
Great lights. They are a warm 2700k color and bright. While the size is Par 40 they replace my Par 38 incadenscent light in my recessed ceiling lights.

Bright
Very bright. These are a room changer!

Color temperature discussion.
These are 4,000 K color temperature dimmable floodlights. They are an improvement over earlier LED bulbs because they are lighter and still very long lasting. Long ago I first changed out all incandescent bulbs in the house to LEDs with 3,000 K color temperature, a bit whiter than the 2,700 K from the incandescent age. Yet they were still too yellow. I changed them all out now to these 4,000 K bulbs, and they are great.

Bright and Energy-Efficient, but Dimming Could Be Smoother
I recently purchased the Sunco 10 Pack BR40 LED Light Bulbs to replace the traditional incandescent bulbs in my home. Overall, I’m pleased with their performance. They are incredibly bright and do a great job illuminating large spaces, which is exactly what I was looking for in my kitchen and living room :D.The energy efficiency is noticeableâI saw a decrease in my electricity bill, which makes these bulbs a cost-effective choice in the long run. They were also easy to install and fit perfectly into the existing fixtures. However, I’ve had some issues with the dimming feature. While the product description states that these bulbs are dimmable, I found that they don’t dim as smoothly as my previous incandescent bulbs. There is a slight flicker and they donât dim to as low a light level as I would like.Despite this, I would recommend these LED bulbs for anyone looking to upgrade their home lighting, as the benefits of energy efficiency and brightness outweigh the minor dimming issue. Just be mindful if dimming is a crucial feature for you

I really wanted to like these bulbs but…
So I decided to give these bulbs a few days before I wrote a review to see how they performed. I bought both the 3000K and 4000K bulbs to see the difference in person. These went into a kitchen and dining area of an open concept floor plan. I have these bulbs operating on Lutron LED compatible dimmer switches for variable brightness. To be frank, I have to admit that I am a little disappointed after these past 4-5 days. Instead of going into a long diatribe about what I found dissapointing, I will succinctly describe in terms of pros and cons:Pros: Lights are very bright. The 4000K bulbs almost give a daylight feel at full but can feel a little cold due to the bluish tint. I must say that I much prefer the 3000K overall as they are very bright as well but provide just the right amount of warmness. In my personal opinion, I would stick with 3000K for most of your home lighting applications unless you absolutely need that sunlight appearance for color correctness applications.Cons: The lights have a 2.5 sec turn-on delay post switch activation (not ideal). I am also noticing a flicker present in the light at various levels of brightness. I know that it’s not due to using the wrong dimmer because I do have the Lutron LED compatible version. It’s most obvious at the lowest brightness setting, but can be perceived at higher brightness levels as well. At this point, I’m not sure if this is quite at the line frequency of 60Hz and it’s not very drastic in the oscillation intensity, but it’s definitely perceptible in the room and also when you stare at the bulb. To be honest, I did not notice this until a few days later so I’m not sure if this artifact has just presented itself.Main verdict: If you’re looking to make the leap to LED, I’d say spring for a higher level, i.e., higher cost, LED bulb if you can. If you’re looking for the energy savings on the cheap and are willing to put up with the aforementioned cons, I’d say go for it. However, the jury is still out on the longevity of these bulbs, but if this flicker gets any worse, I’d say it’s a total loss in terms of usefulness. If this is the case, then choosing the LED bulb based on price will prove to be a moot point.Hope this review was enlightening 😉

I needed a new bulb as one of four in our bathroom. The Sunco bulb was exactly as detailed in the specification and once installed and powered on is indistinguishable from the existing bulbs. Good work!

I don’t normally write reviews, however I do for these lights. Using this in a carport. The extra length in the neck is perfect. Great light, bright white. I ordered more.

Order arrived on time, and all 18 bulbs worked when tested. These are the right size for 6″ pots. Colour and brightness is as advertised. Hope they last. Perhaps I should have ordered less bright ones; more isn’t always better.Update 2023-05-05: One of the 18 bulbs has failed in just under 3 years of occasional use. Much sooner than the 5 year warranty plus 2 years extended warranty. Sunco customer service responded to my phone call quickly and pleasantly. Unfortunately they will not ship replacements to Canada but will refund purchase price of the failed bulb. Dilemma: order another box from Sunco, or roll the dice with someone else???

Product arrived on time. The light bulb is of excellent quality. Installed in outside pot lights the bulbs are bright and cover a wide area. Highly Recommend.
