Cool doorbell and I love the solar charger
Really happy that I got a Ring doorbell camera with a solar charger. I had another brand that used lithium batteries and I was constantly having to change them which was expensive and taking the camera off and putting it back on was a real pain. Then somebody finally stole that camera took the lithium batteries and threw the rest on the ground. This takes it to a whole new level. I do live in a very sunny area so this solar battery works great. My battery level is always at 100%. We’ll see when winter comes but I don’t think it’s going to make much of a difference I’m in Southern California so we have lots of sunny days. Also it’s way more sturdy and the picture quality is better tooI was trying to save money by buying the less expensive brand but ended up having to spend more money anyways… so my advice is just get the good one first.Oh and being able to talk to the person at your door to let them know you’re on your way or whatever is a great feature.. My camera is at the gate not my front door so it takes me a second to get there and this really helps

So much for âWeather Proofâ!
Our front door is in full sun for roughly the last 1/2 of the day. It faces south. We have had this for about a year and a half. I got a RING notification that our battery was low. It was so low that I could not even use the camera on the doorbell to see ânowâ. The solar panels had basically melted on the top and were starting to do the same on the sides. I called RING and because my one year warranty was expired, they gave me a 35% discount to use on their website thatâs the reason for 4 stars instead of 3.

Surprisingly excellent
Honestly this thing is awesome. I was bummed about having to take down the camera to charge periodically and was so excited to find this exists. Iâve had my camera for 2 months and itâs almost always at 100% battery- Iâll probably never need to charge it and itâs nice to have the peace of mind that I donât need to regularly check battery status. I can put my camera on higher motion capture frequency without worrying about battery life impact. The solar panels are low profile, look clean and modern, and feel like decent quality. Overall super impressed, a really worthwhile accessory to the doorbell.

Definitely get a ring doorbell solar panel
I have been buying ring cameras for the last three years. It is the only doorbell camera I will buy. What I really like is the solar panel for the ring doorbell. It is easy to install and keeps my doorbell charged even without electrical power. Be sure to wipe off the solar panels if they are water stain from the rain to help increase charging power. I like that the ring camera has a security screw underneath, so the battery cannot be tampered with easily. It mounts on anysuch as wood. Particle board, stucco over styrofoam and mortar. You will need appropriate anchors for Bri k, concrete, and styrofoam building materials to stay steadied in place.

Wished we bought this earlier!
We are SO IMPRESSED with this solar panel!! We charged the ring completely and then hung everything. Itâs been a month and the doorbell is still at a 100% charge. I saw mixed reviews, but donât listen to them! We do get sun on the front of house for half of the day so maybe that helps, but this is 10000% worth every penny.

Worked good for a year
Worked great the 1st year. Only had to disconnect to recharge in the house once after about a year. It’s been about 2 months and the battery is down to 23% so I’m going to have to do it again. But from other reviews, it looks like about a year is all you get out of the solar charger. I live across the street from a large field, so I get direct sunlight from sun up until noon-ish, which should keep the doorbell charged pretty well. Disappointed that I’m going to have to get something else soon.

Bought this for my motherâs Ring
I bought this for my momâs Ring, it works well as long as it can get sunlight, I ended up buying a solar charger that I could put more into the ground area as her ring is mostly in the shade, it works well as long as the ring area gets sunlight

Passando in genere 10 ore al giorno a lavoro cercavo un citofono che mi permettesse di essere presente virtualmente in casa.Preso ad un ottimo prezzo con il prime day e associato al suo pannello solare per la ricarica posso dire che fa egregiamente il suo lavoro.Ero spaventato da alcune recensioni che parlavano di ritarti e di richieste perse ecc.Io l’ho installato al posto del vecchio citofono a circa 10 metri dalla porta ( ho un vialetto ) e nonstante il segnale wifi non sia eccenzionale a quella distanza, non ho avuto bisogno di nessun estensore di segnale o access point. ( ho una 2,5 giga come connessione )L’installazione è facile e il suo pannello solare mi ha permesso di isolarlo dalla rete elettrica garantendo sempre una ricarica giornaliera di circa il 10% a fronte di una scarica del 2% e questo nonostante non sia esposto a sud e le ore di sole siano circa 4/5.Non ho notato ritardi ne tra l’effettivo utilizzo del campanello, sia nella relativa comunicazione con l’app.Ottimo anche l’audio biderzionale.

Lâinstallazione è stata semplicissima, con istruzioni chiare e tutti gli accessori inclusi. Una volta montato, ha iniziato subito a caricare il dispositivo, anche con luce solare indiretta.La qualità dei materiali è ottima: resistente alle intemperie e ben costruito, perfetto per un uso esterno.
