Customers find these gutter clips work well on gutters and are easy to attach, with one customer noting they can be installed and removed with one person. The clips receive positive feedback for their quality and effectiveness in hanging Christmas lights, and customers consider them lifesavers. While some customers report the clips hold lights firmly in place, others mention they don’t clip on securely enough. It help me accomplish what Ive been wanting to do
edit: first time took me 2 hours. I did it again within 30 minutesI bought the clips instead of the pole. The clips work well. I understand people’s frustration in the reviews. I have solutions that address most of them.My objective was to put lights on the gutter on my 2 story house. Theres area in my house where I cannot put ladder. I dont want to pay $450 for professional contractors because they want to climb on my roof. I dont want to risk damaging my roof either. Took me a week of researching on my downtime to finally come to this solution. the pictures and instructions on this product are limited. I have to watch youtube videos of several different products to piece together how this clip work:1. You are suppose to screw them on any pole (like a broomstick)2. Hook the clip to the light strip3. Put the clip on the gutter4. UnscrewI ran into problems that others have ran into and i solved them allProblem 1:I need a pole long enough to reach my gutterSolution:I bought a heavy duty extension poleProblem 2:The pole is wobbly when I extend it all the waySolution:Shorten it, use a 8 foot ladder to make up for the lost rangeProblem 3:Unscrewing the pole from clip will cause the clip to detach from gutter and fall downSolution:Unscrew at an angle ( i provided a diagram to explain more)Tip:I used WD40 on the end of the pole. I also screw the clip onto the pole then unscrew to make sure there would be less resistance unscrewing it while its on my gutterProblem 4:Its hard to hook light string on clipSolution:Have a 2nd person guide the light string onto the clipTook me about 2 hours (and hours and weeks of research leading to the actual implementation)

    Great product
Ordered these hoping to save myself from the dreaded ladder this year when putting up my lights and these clips were perfect! Using the handle from my push broom, I screwed one of these clips to the end, slid in a section of lights, clipped onto the side of my gutters, unscrewed the handle and the lights were all hung in twenty minutes! I was even able to use a “U” loop on the side of a clip to hang lights onto tree branches far out of my normal reach.I can’t say yet if they will still be effective next year but they don’t seem too flimsy and they have held tight for 2 weeks without one falling off. Also they can be used on shingles as well although I only used them around my gutters. If you have a long enough handle with a threaded end sitting around like a push broom of paint roller handle, these fit on perfectly and make it so so easy to hang your lights while keeping both feet firmly on the ground.

    Excellent Gutter Clips
We’ve been using these gutter clips for years. We use the application pole to attach them to our gutters. Sure beats climbing up on a ladder. However, due to weather and use, they do wear out. Tried to find them locally but no one stocks them anymore. Returned to Amazon and was fortunate enough to find them. They work great for our use. Thank You for making them available!

Inexpensive Great Idea. Works Great on Gutters Not so Great Under Shingles
I bought these looking for a way to hang my lights without having to ladder the entire house. I used a broom handle and found these clips easy to use. I had to use a ladder to use these clips on the shingles and broke a few trying to get them to slide under the shingles. I was placing them there by hand and not even using the pole and they snapped. After a few tries I got them to fit and they hold the lights very securely. These work great on the gutters and are very easy to use. Screw the pole into the clip, feed the light wire into the clip, and raise it up putting it on the gutter. Then just unscrew the broom handle and move on to the next one. Super easy all from the ground!+ Inexpensive+ Attach to Shingles or Gutters+ Easily Attach and Remove Broom Handle+ Work From Ground Level- Snap Easily- Difficult to use on shingles had to place them by hand and use ladder to avoid breaking them_Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommend these clips for use on gutters. Trying to get them to slide under the shingles is possible, but tricky. I will use them as long as they hold up, but I do not think I will buy them again because I need something better for shingles and they snap so easily. Overall worth the $8 to hang the lights on the gutters with ease.

Great way to put lights up on the gutter!
I first got these at Home Depot years ago, over the years some have broken so I needed more and to my surprise they don’t carry them anymore. These are easy to put up with a paint pole, I normally thread one one, then clip light string that is dangling about 6′ from the last clip. You just proceed down the string until they are all up. Sometimes the last few clips are problematic if they are way up there like on a 2-3 story house. Taking lights goes really fast; I put a trim roller on the end of the paint pole and then just push each clip off the gutter. This beats getting up on a ladder in the winter months by far!

These are the good kind that actually work
It seems everybody has cheaped out and gone to the type of clips that do not screw onto the pole so they constantly fall off while you are trying to install them on the gutter. These are the good kind that actually screw on. I had to buy them here because the store I originally bought these at doesn’t sell the screw on kind any more. Couldn’t find the screw ons anywhere locally.

The clips work well it’s just a matter of finding a pole that fits the clips. I tried a few poles that I had then I came across a pole that I had used for painting the decking and that worked great .Took no time to put the lights up, no climbing and less stress !!!!The packaging was badly damaged on arrival so I wasn’t happy to see three of the clips broken.

Did not fit my eves with the leaf guards. check how the leaf guards are installed. It looks easy to use with a pole and clip but very hard to control the pole while standingon the ground, the pole extended all the way and trying to push this clip under the roofshingles and screw off the clip. If you can do it without being on a ladder NOTTA! Doesn’twork. The pole wants to bend extended all the way and the clips have to be paired up withthe right eves and leaf guards.

These are the best light clips! I don’t understand why they stopped making them as the new clips are useless. These can be put up using a pole and make hanging lights SO much easier! I wish the manufacturer would keep making them! I don’t know what I’m going to do when I eventually run out. The only downside is that they are cheap plastic so there is always the risk of a clip breaking due to the change in temperature in Canada.
