    Proven Performance & Durability
I purchased this item (from Amazon) back in 2022. This little workhorse has exceeded all my expectations for performance & durability. For a grass trimmer it is small & very lightweight. I feel that it would be perfect for a smaller person or women. I’m a 6ft, 215lb, 75yo male & because of my age, this tool is perfect. It’s lasted much, much longer than I expected with the amount of use & abuse it’s taken. Initial assembly was very easy, and adjustments of head angle & handle length is simple. Also, I have El Toro grass & I like to keep it cropped short, otherwise this species of grass tends to quickly grow into a very thick & high lawn. Although it only cuts through a small swath at a time, this WORX grass trimmer is powerful enough to cut through these thick leaf blades; & it’s lightweight & easy maneuverablity makes it easy to control. The grassy areas of my yard is very, very large, so I have to do it in sections. I don’t use a lawn mower, only this little guy. Since being so satisfied with this tool, I have purchased many other WORX brand tools (hedge trimmer, leaf blower, brad driver, power drills & recipro/jig saw combo) because of their “PowerShare” design concept. So I have many interchangeable batteries & multiple chargers; & this works extremely well for me. For this grass trimmer each battery charge will last around 18-22 mnutes per charge. While I can see that this may be inconveniently tedious for someone else, I don’t mind. At my age, this battery-changing routine allows me to gauge my time & progress. Also, the cutting line is on a surprisingly small replaceable spool. Replacement spools of line are abundantly available on Amazon & the removal/replacement process is very simple & fast.It would be unfair to compare this WORX brand grass trimmer to those gas powered (commercial use) brands like Shindaiwa or Stihl, etc. I’m sure that these heavy duty trimmers could run circles around this little guy, but at the same time are much more expensive, heavier & cumbersome,.In the past 3 years, after hundreds of hours of use, I’ve come to love & respect this little tool alot. My only complaint is that I wish the handle length was a bit longer.

I highly recommend this weed trimmer
I just purchased this trimmer this month and have used it a lot. It’s easy to operate, it’s light weight and the batteries last longer than I expected. In all fairness I get to rest up while charging the batteries to finish up my work. The string is awesome and easy to change and lasts quite a long time (each spool) usually lasts through about 1/2 an acre of heavy cuttingI have 1 acre property and there is a lot of trimming on it. It usually takes me 2.5 days to do my yard , drive way and around the house and barn, chicken coop and greenhouse. I am 65 and do it by myself so makes my work alot easier. My left wrist has an old injury after falling the roof of my motorhome and even I can operate this with no issues. I highly recommend this trimmer.

Trimmer is 5+ star, batteries “meh”
The Revolution trimmer itself gets an 5+ star rating! The batteries/charger would get 2-3 stars.Although I had seen great reviews of Worx trimmers, I initially was looking for a lightweight, corded trimmer/edger to replace a 30 year-old Toro. I don’t want the hassle of making sure yet another battery is charged when I want to use something. However, a friend had an entry-level cordless B&D that I tried and it was great—powerful enough for our needs and the battery charged in an hour and lasted long enough for their yard. This made me change my mind about cordless so I spent a great deal of time researching Worx models.I considered the GT163, the Revolution (170), and the Nitro. I chose the Revolution over the GT163 because of the longer shaft and it is a newer model, and over the Nitro because it was a pound lighter…though ultimately any of them would have been a good replacement for the former corded Toro. The Revolution trimmer seems well built and I appreciate the numerous features included in the design, such as the button to feed the line, the ability to change the angle of the trimmer head, the extra length of the shaft, the many angles of the handle, the ability to edge and the light weight. It is easy and intuitive to make the adjustments. It is a little tricky to figure out how to rotate the handle for edging, but I watched a short Worx video on YT about the initial set up of the Revolution that was helpful…except once outside when I wanted to rotate the handle back to the trimmer mode, I struggled with the steps to rotate it and had to watch the video again. Part of the issue was that I didn’t correctly lock/unlock the head and also, a lot of dust showered out when I rotated it so I think the debris (mostly dust from the super dry dirt) made the shaft a little gritty so it wasn’t smooth pulling and turning it.After the dust fell out it was easy pulling and rotating the shaft. I suspect this won’t be a problem once edging is regularly done to maintain the beds (and there was more debris/dust bc the weather has been very dry and this was the first time the beds have been edged all year). I will have to get used to the steps of making sure the head is parallel with the shaft and it is unlocked, as well as which way to rotate the shaft to/from edging to/from trimming. This is not a big deal and the benefit of having the ability to edge and trim with one tool far outweighs the learning curve. I just need to use it more. The tool itself is fantastic and it did a great job trimming and edging. The batteries, however, did not impress me. It took forever to charge, so long that I wasn’t sure it was working (even though the green light was flashing). I also thought the indicator lights would illuminate but you have to push the button. It took 5.5-6 hours to charge each battery. And, they did not last very long. The only specifications I could find from Worx about the Max batteries is that the duration varies depending on the tool being used, but one battery will easily last long enough for 1/4 acre yard. Our yard is .179 acres. I used BOTH fully charged batteries and was unable to edge the sidewalk in front of our house. One battery was depleted before I finished the backyard. I trimmed along the beds the back length of the house, one side of the house, one side of the yard, 4 French drain covers; and, I edged about 20-30’ along the beds that span the width of our yard. The second battery was depleted after edging the rest of the bed across the width of our yard, the side bed, the front bed, the driveway, and the sidewalk to porch. I was unable to edge the pedestrian sidewalk in front of our house and the tree lawn by the street. The battery duration and the charge time is why I deducted one star. If I could give a rating just for the batteries I would give them 2-3 stars. I know I can buy a quick charger but I don’t necessarily need one-hour charging and I shouldn’t have to spend more money to get a reasonable charge time. I know I can also buy a 40V battery but I don’t want to add more weight to the trimmer and if I wanted the 40V then I would have gotten the Nitro in the first place.Overall, I am happy with the trimmer but the batteries leave a lot to be desired and sour my feeling of satisfaction about my purchase. I will have to get used to the trade off of inconvenient battery charging/duration and the ease of a cordless tool.

I have given it 5 stars as it is the bees knees. BUT. Ensure when purchasing a – one battery fits all – that it is for the U.K. market. Apparently the one I received within a couple of days was for the US. The battery is a larger size fitting. Lovely bit of kit though. I had to send it back and reorder the U.K. one.

Love this trimmer. Lightweight but gets the job done. I have over 400 feet of trimming to do by my fence, house, shed etc. and it does it effortlessly. I get the whole job done on just one charge of the battery. Highly recommend this product and such a reasonable price.

Buen embalaje y protección durante el traslado, llegando antes de lo previsto. Bajo peso y buena potencia de motor. Ergonómica y fácil de usar. Idóneo para superficies cortas, ya que la duración de la pila es moderada.
