Customers say
Customers find the solar light bulbs bright and well-suited for chicken coops and sheds, with good quality. The functionality and charging performance receive mixed feedback – while some say they work well with chickens and charge well from solar panels, others report they quit working and don’t stay charged long. The longevity is also mixed, with some saying they last several days while others report they die within 4 hours on high setting. The remote control feature and value for money get mixed reviews, with some finding it worth the price while others consider it a waste of money.

Have light anywhere anytime
I love these things. I use them for my chicken coop, my kids playhouse inside and outside, and they work great if the power goes out. I allow the solar panel to keep the one in the coop charged and never have any issues. My emergency bulb gets charged by plugging it up before a storm. They work great either way. They hold their charge well, arenât expensive, and can take a beating from 3 wild little girls. The light may not be as bright as some people may like, but they work great for me.

They work but require daily resetting
We use them for our chicken coops. We exclusively use the dusk till dawn feature. Not a huge amount of light but enough for the chickens to coop up and get comfortable before they turn off. The draw back seems to be that we have to reset the dusk to dawn feature daily. Instructions say it should stay in that mode but it doesn’t. You have to hang where you can get to it daily to reset.

Automatic Dusk Until Dawn Does Not Work After a Week
We bought this because of the automatic dusk until dawn switch for our coop. This worked for a week and then now we have to manually turn it on. Description of product and quality did not deliver. Spare yourself the trouble and find something else.

Great bulbs for the chicken coop! But just use them manually. Remote and solar panels useless.
While the brightness and versatility is great, the solar panels are useless. I should have just gotten the regular USB charged bulbs. Even on a sunny day, with the panels in direct sunlight, the bulbs die within 4 hours. Even with a full USB charge, plugging them in doesn’t make the charge last any longer. So they are completely useless. But on a full USB charge, they last on High for about 6 or so hours, and don’t start dimming ntil about 4 or so hours. They last on Medium about 8 to 10 which is great and won’t start to dim until about 6/7 . Plus a full charge only takes about 2 and a half hours.I use these in my chicken coop, which is quite dark. Here in CT the sun comes up around 7 AM and its pitch dark by 4:30 PM. I place one bulb on High in the coop around 7 AM. Around 2ish, I swap the bulbs, put the 2nd one in on medium, and charge the first one. By the time it starts getting dark at 4, its fully charged and I put that one just outside the coop so my flock can get some extra time outside in the run for a couple extra hours.some people let their flock go with nature, but I believe them being in the dark for 15 full hours from 4 PM to 7 AM is just too much. No water or food, or exercise, that affects people, why not animals? Before I added lights and the days got shorter, my flock was getting noticeably more lethargic, and irritable. Their energy levels are up and they have been much happier. Some people add lights to keep them laying regularly. Yes they continue to lay but this also means they are healthy. I turn the lights out at around 7:30 so they get a full night’s recharge. I turn the lights on low at 6:30 for the last hour to mimic the sunset. This lets them know its time to eat and drink before bed and they get settled on their roosting bars. The ability to change the light settings is great.Unfortunatly the remotes are as useless as the solar panels. One remote works for both bulbs, but you cant control which one, so you have to point the remote directly at it from a few feet away. And since I have the lights only a few feet apart, I would have to be pointing the remote a couple inches from it, so there is literally no point. While I am out with my chickens several times a day collecting eggs, being able to change the setting manually is not an issue for me. But for someone who purchases these, counting on being able to use the remotes, they would be highly disappointed. I did originally search for “remote solar light bulbs, so while these did function really well, 2 of the 3 searches were useless. It does seem alot of people like these as they have quite a high rating, so I don’t know if I got defective panels or what, but either way, charging them is working fine so its not worth the trouble to return them only to get the USB ones since I can do that with these anyways. The bulbs themselves serve the purpose for what I was looking for. For 2 bulbs, the price is great, easy to use, long lasting battery. Just don’t bother with the Solar panels or the remote.

Great value
I loved these solar bulbs. They charged well both solar and via electricity. They offered great light which could be adjusted. I had them for 2 years, Unfortunately one went missing and the other got damaged by water. I would definitely buy these again

Me parece un producto bastante útil. Los compré para utilizarlos en una casa donde no tenemos luz eléctrica y funcionan bastante bien. Y es mucho mejor por el hecho de poder cargarse de manera sar.

Super disappointed. We bought these to use in our chicken coop. We used one unit, however it would never get charged by solar. The only way it works is to charge via USB into power outlet. So we have to bring in the light everyday in order to charge it for the night. When fully charged, we get approx. 6 hours of light on the battery. The second unit we got never charged (solar nor outlet), so it has never worked.Unfortunately, I would not recommend this product.
