So yeah… it’s a heavy mug. I weighed it in at 21.9 lbs. I don’t think you need to worry about it getting chipped in the sink, though you may have to worry about your sink’s well being if you drop it in there. But hey, if you’re wanting an excuse for a kitchen remodel… drop this on the counter, in the sink, set it in your cabinet and let Mjölnir get the demolition started for you. It’s a solid chunk of metal, so i don’t think durability is going to be a problem. The knurling is fairly mild, so it won’t chew your hand up, though a more aggressive knurl may have been a wise choice for something with the weight past your hand, imparting twisting force towards your teeth and face. Personally, I’m actually going to use this until I don’t get any shakes holding it and talking to coworkers and friends. Talk about functional and grip strength building.
