First off. Hats off to the effort put into this project. There has most definitely been serious effort put into mixing this discretely for atmos. Itâs not an Atmos mix in name only.That being said, some of the decisions made are quite maddening.First the good stuff! Live 4 Love, Strollinâ and Walk Donât Walk are exceptional. They are a total joy to listen to and make this disc worth purchasing. They make total use of the medium in ways that are pure joy.The badâ¦.. some of the channel/level choicesThe absolute worst part of this mix is the use, (or lack thereof) of the center channel. Rosie and Prince (and sometimes Tony) are almost always coming through the same channel. And itâs NOT the center. Come on now. Princeâs voice should be isolated front and center here. Not mixed in one of the other speakers WITH Rosie. This makes ZERO sense. If they have isolated vocals, ISOLATE them in different channels. It just puts a blanket over the project to have all the voices coming from the same location.Check this out. Isolate the center speak on diamonds and pearls. Forward to the âd to the i to the a partâHave a laughâ¦.or two.Daddy Pop sounds like itâs under water. (Yes Iâm intimately familiar with the original)The keyboard blasts at the tail end of willing and able have been set to 11 ala spinal tap. Itâs clownishly poor. Whatâs going on!?!?I donât know about you. But when gett off shows up I basically need to turn my subwoofer off. The house sounds like a stampede of Buffalo. This is really not necessary. Itâs possible to have something bass heavy mixed without destroying the core of the song.Iâm glad I own it. There are some great moments/songs. But overall itâs not nearly as adventurous as it should be. And in some of the moments they choose to get adventurous, theyâve handed the volume controls over to a 10 year old

Does not meet expectations
I own a Yamaha AV Dolby Atmos, but it doesn’t sound good at all, only in Direct mode, but even so, the bass sounds out of texture and synchronization, somewhat uncontrolled like a blow, although the intention is what counts, I should have paid attention to the comments that talked about it. I am leaning towards the remastered version. An SACD would have been a better audiophile option, so I returned it.
