Perfect for screen mesh replacement
This tool is grippy and strong and easy to work with. Iâd recommend having some gloves while youâre doing this because you can sometimes slip and hurt your fingers a little bit in the process. I also only use the single edge side in my opinion. Iâve noticed that when you use the double side, sometimes it will actually tear a little hole on the inside corner where you are laying the screen mesh, and then you have to redo the replacement. When I am installing mesh, I liked to always push the rubber spline in from the outer edge of the rubber, so that I donât have the possibility of damaging the inside part of the mesh. Also, I found if youâre trying to get it in it is helpful to have a flathead screwdriver to push in the corners and then also I would pull the screen nice and tight while at the same time youâre going to pull the rubber spline nice and tight so that it can make it easy for you to roll it into the frame and then loosen up so that the rubber can expand once itâs sitting in the frame.
