Excellent little temperature sensors.
Govee makes an excellent product. These temperature sensors are excellent and I actually use them quite a bit. I am an engineer, specializing in thermodynamics and refrigeration. Iâm a temperature sensor junkie and these work really well. Just stick them on something in the shade and they do well. Do not stick them in the sun as they do heat up and the temperature is thrown off. Very accurate according to my Scientific thermometers. I get about a year life out of a good alkaline battery, not the cheap ones that are in it.Sometimes I have a little problem, connecting them and basically just have to start over.

Very handy temp/humidity data loggers.
So far I love these. Got one to monitor and log the crawlspace, one outside, and one inside. I love that I can add more as well. I’m thinking of adding one to track the attic, and then fridge/freezer (and I tested and they were able to work inside my fridge and freezer and reach the wifi bridge. I’ve got mine in the extended battery mode so I’ll be interested to see how they do. I set an alarm for crawlspace humidity and it was able to alert me even when I was away from home. This will be nice for validating that my dehumidifier down there is keeping things suitably dry or if it’s having trouble without having to crawl down there too often other than to service dehum once in a while.

These work OK as far as I can tell. But while the pool sensors that use a different gateway work fine with Alexa after linking the Govee Home skill, these sensors with this do not. They will show up in the Alexa app but she will not respond to verbal requests for the temperature readings. Hope they will fix this soon.update:Govee were kind enough to reach out and offer a refund. The specifics on my situation are that Iâm using the IOS app. Within the Alexa app, for these, I can see humidity reported, but not temperature. However, verbally Alexa will not report either humidity or temperature. Since they have it working with the pool thermometers hopefully itâs just a matter of time that their dev team takes a look and gets it working for these as well.

Easy to use and configure Temp sensors
The whole line of Govee life thermometers is easy to set up and monitor. The only drawback is the need for a âHubâ to interface between the temp sensor & your WiFi. The hub is different for these sensors and those that are floating sensors for water bodies like a pond. Consequently I have two hubs, one for the 3 air temp sensors and one for the 2 water temp sensors for the pond and water tank in my greenhouse.

Great temperature gauges for inside and out!
These smart thermometers are easy to setup and very accurate! The perfect addition for hot summer months, particularly if you donât have central AC and need to monitor the temps inside and out. My favorite feature is that you can setup notifications in each room for when they hit a certain temp. Highly recommend these!

Worked fine until it completely disappeared from all my devices!
I was enjoying this device with my three sensors spaced out around my property until today when I tried to set it up on my tablet. Most of my home connectivity apps just require me to login and then I have all of the settings available for my account but this doesn’t work that way. I downloaded the app and then there was no login so it asked me to add a device, I added my control center thing that is plugged in my house, but then it wanted me to pair all of the sensors again!!!!! That is ridiculous! So now I am supposed to go out on my property and get all of the sensors, bring them to the house to pair them again, and then put them back out around my property???? That is for the birds, wast of money. Once they are paired they should remain paired and I should have an account that brings them all up on any device! NOT only that, when I went to view them on my original device (my phone) now THEY ARE ALL GONE!!! SO DUMB. I do not have time to read instructions and go through all of the setup all over again. Now they are completely useless.

Easy Setup and Work Great, Especially with Alexa
Setup was extremely quick and easy. Came with three sensors; they all work great, came already paired to the gateway. AND, the big plus is now I can check temperatures by just asking Alexa!
