    Really nice brightness range
For background, most of the lamps in my house already have Philips Hue bulbs, and I’m a pretty big fan of this brand. I noticed a few years ago that most lights were making it really hard for me to wind down at night. I have ADHD and insomnia (likely related to the ADHD, since my brain can’t relax), and I’ve always been sensitive to light. For example, sunlight in the morning makes me immediately wide awake. The issue, then, is artificial lighting in the evenings, because the light will continue to make me feel awake. I’ve noticed I’m more sensitive to the light levels of the room than even my phone or devices. It might partially be that I can dim my devices down, but also it seems to be something about the whole area I’m in being bright that makes me feel awake.I tried several brands and found that even though Hue bulbs are more expensive, they are so much better than the alternatives. They have better dimming and color range that’s controllable. I can get exactly the right amount of amber light that helps me unwind in the evenings. I also appreciate the automations and scenes in the app. I have my lights set to gradually turn on to a warm white while the sun is setting, and then to automatically turn amber and dim a bit as it gets later. Then I use the wake up automation in the morning, where it slowly brightens though the color temperatures of sunrise for 30 minutes. I haven’t actually needed to use my alarm clock since I started doing this. All that to say that I really appreciate Philips Hue bulbs. Now for this particular bulb, I like the 75 watt equivalents because they give a lot more light when at their full brightness for when I actually need bright light to do something, and the older style of this bulb still worked well with dimming–I’ve noticed Hue bulbs get much more dim than some of the other brands I’ve tried. One of the improvements with this new bulb from what I could tell on Hue’s website is that they dim down significantly more–from the old 2% brightness to 0.2% brightness, and that was noticeable when I compared it to one of my other bulbs. These also supposedly have a much wider range of white color temperature than the old bulbs, but I’ll be honest–I really couldn’t tell the difference on that one. These also supposedly use less power, but I don’t have the tools to test that immediately (and I’m only changing out the one bulb for now, so I likely won’t see a difference in my bill). That said, this gives me hope that these will continue to get more energy efficient with every new model. All in all, I’m a big fan of this bulb.

    Love Phillips Hue Lights!
I have been a die-hard Philips Hue user since the product first came out, and this light only reinforced why I keep coming back. Setup was quick and seamless, adding it to my existing Hue system with no issues at all. It is impressively bright and immediately made a difference in my living room, replacing an older light that could not compare. I also like that it can be configured via Bluetooth if needed, which adds flexibility when you do not want to connect through the bridge. The design feels well-made and consistent with the quality Hue is known for. These lights last for years, help cut down on the power bill, and the fact that I can manage everything easily through the app makes it even better. Adjustments respond instantly, the brightness is steady, and it works perfectly with the rest of my setup. For the reliability, efficiency, and ease of use, the price for the quality is good, and I will continue to order more as I expand my lighting system.

    A variety of color options
This is a 9.5 W (75 watt equivalent) hue bulb. This can be app controlled and will produce colored and white lights. If doing white, you can set the warmth and brightness. This works with a variety of home assistants. This has an E26 base and is about the same size as a traditional bulb, just a bit taller/wider. If you have an enclosed light fixture, make sure to check the measurements. This was too tall to fit inside a globe lamp, but fit everything else in our house. Works well and produces nice colors.
