Bar works great but toss the hammer
The bar alone is worth purchasing this kit. It makes installing the last piece against a wall so much easier. It’s rigid and does the job well. The block works okay but you have to take a little extra time ensuring you engage it just right so you don’t damage the locking edge. I find that using a short cutoff as a hammer surface is a little faster because it locks into the groove with little effort. The shims seem like a gimmick to make the kit look big. Yes, there are places where the shims are useful, but they are not necessary and you certainly don’t need so many.The hammer is garbage. The transition piece was broken on arrival and the polished head was rusted, pitted, and has very sharp edges. The two rubber surfaces are almost the identical durometer to each other (they shouldn’t be) and are too hard. A ultra cheap rubber mallet works better than this hammer and won’t scratch your floor while working.

Everything you need
This is a complete kit that could put you to work today. It is an awesome value and easy to use. Everything works exactly like it’s supposed to hammer is good quality and the metal foot fits in between floor planks like it’s supposed to. It’s very durable. I use it to replace a single plank in a hardwood floor. It’s easy to pack around in the case. I definitely recommend it. It comes with everything you need to make money today.

Ok but spacers are not good.
The spacers are pretty much useless. There are spacers that work better. All else works ok.

I’ve used a few kits like this over the years. the last one i had got worn out and so i wanted to try another one. i must say that the hammer seems a bit undersized for the job its designed for doing. it does have 2 different heads on the hammer, which my others did not have, so that is helpful for different applications.
