The powerful 24-inch (61 cm) drip edge folding tool makes quick bends along the drip edge of flat-pan standing seam metal roofing panels. Two rib-reinforced steel plates are permanently welded together to create two folding seams for making 1-inch (25.4 mm) and 1-1/2-inch (38.1 mm) deep bends in maximum 22-gauge (0.76 mm) steel. A two-post-design, fiberglass reinforced nylon handle offers durable, lightweight strength and high leverage for working overhead or on a bench.

Essential Standing Seam Tool
Installing my 1st stand seam roof. If youâre going to wrap the ends of your panels around the drip edge, this tool is essential. Iâve only used the one inch side of this tool. It makes perfect, controlled bends. Iâve dropped this tool a bunch of times from a saw horse down to the garage floor with no bent corners. This tool is well made. When I was shopping for a bending tool, there were lots of tools contractors used, online. Iâm really glad I picked this one. Tip: I also bought a Malco 6â wide hand seamer. High quality and essential, also.

I like the large easy to grab and leveraged handle. . . Sure, you can buy the little metal blade version for less than half the price, but there’s no handle, and leveraging the little blade is a little bit of a trick. . .Pay the extra buck, and don’t give yourself carpal tunnel . . .

Best hemming tool I have found
This is a high quality tool made in America that I highly recommend. I own several other hemming tools and this one is by far my favorite. This tool allows me to make consistent hems on both straight and diagonal cut roof panels witease and precision. I have made hundreds of panels (24g) with this tool and I love it!

Nicely made and finished. I would have liked a longer handle for better leverage (less effort on my part).It works well for folding but you need to be careful to ensure the sheet metal roofing stays fully in the appropriate grove when folding over.
