The product receives positive feedback for its texture, with customers appreciating its creamy feel, and one mentioning it’s suitable for sensitive skin. While some customers find it half the price of Sephora, others consider it expensive, and there are mixed opinions about its smell, greasiness, and value for money. I had bad effects with other Vit C serums, but this one is perfect for me
I’ve TRIED other Vitamin C serums, but I’ve had bad effects from many of them (such as orange skin and orange break-outs). This product feels very good, makes my skin look bright and slides on just as a serum should. It’s pricey, but because of break-outs with other Vitamin C serums, it’s worth it to me.

Nice creamy feel
wonderful creamy feel – not thin and watery like some serums. Whether it works to restore skin cells remains to be seen with a little time. But the “feel” of it on your face is very moisturizing.

Works as well as the reviews say
This was the first Peter Thomas Roth product that I had bought. Even though a lot of reviews said it’s basically magical, I wasn’t expecting such dramatic results. I initially used it to smooth out necklines, and only for a few days. It’s been almost a year, and the lines I used it on are still smooth. After that, I started using it on my face on daily basis. I put it on under my sunscreen. Now, I also use the 24-Karat Gold Hydra-Gel Eye Patches and the Instant Firm Temporary Face Tightener.

Great for sensitive skin
Update (took off 1 star, so now 4 stars): after using this serum religiously morning and night on both my face and neck for 5 months, I did notice my skin tone looks more even and brighter (maybe 5 to 10% improvements). I didnât notice any lightening of my hyperpigmentation, dark acne scars or sun spots.I used 3 pumps to cover my whole face and neck day and night. So I ended up burning through 4 bottles of this vitamin C serum. Itâs interesting that many YouTube MDs always comment on THD ascorbate as being oil soluble and can penetrate deeper into the skin. However, there arenât that many studies to prove this. I read some chemist blogs and the conversion of THD ascorbate to ascorbic acid is only 16% in cells. This means you are getting only about slightly over 3% equivalent of ascorbic acid in your skin. Iâm guessing thatâs the reason why I donât get the dramatic results compared to the Revision brand with 30% THD ascorbate (close to 5% equivalent in f ascorbic acid conversion) will continue to search for other vitamin c derivatives since my skin canât tolerate the L ascorbic acid formulations. My next one to try is the DS laboratory with the ethylated vitamin c. I still give this vitamin c serum 5 stars and itâs a good beginner vitamin c serum to try if you have sensitive skin.Original review:I tried so many different types of vitamin c, Cerave, Skin Ceuticals, Glow Recipe, Mad Hippie, 100 percent pure, LâOréal, Neutrogena, No7 capsules, Drunk Elephant. All of them either burned my skin and caused rash from the L-ascorbic acid formulations, or they are not potent enough for me to see any differences. The only vitamin c thatâs comparable to this one is the Revision THD 30% which is about $35 more than the Peter Thomas Roth brand. While I do love the higher % from the Revision and it does not cause any irritations with much faster results, the Revision brandâs new packaging is so horrible and Iâm not able to get every drop of the products out from the horrible tube design.I love the PTR brand because the packaging is much easier to dispense every drop of the product. It also doesnât pills and layers well with other products. No artificial fragrances. It does have a natural vitamin C smell and it smells like iron rust. Itâs a creamy lotion like consistency like the Revision brand I love with cheaper price tag. The only down side is you see good results but not as fast as the Revision brand since itâs the 20% concentration. The other one I tried was the Herbivore Vitamin C serum that has 15% THD ascorbate. I would say this one is a pass for me because not only the concentration is lower, also the tumeric scent comes off quite strong for me when you first apply it on your face. Also the bottle is transparent not blocking off the light (Iâm just being OCD at protecting my vitamin C serum).

Seems authentic, but didn’t do much for me
This seems like it’s legit, based on the smell. I do not know if I received a full product – It does not come with any plastic outerwrap and the pump top on my bottle was fairly loose. No product leaked out, but it was definitely not on tight. I think some of the other reviewers mentioned not getting a pump, but the cap is on so snugly that I thought that I did not receive a pump. Once you get the top off, you can see the pump applicator. Smells like campfire, so I think it’s authentic. A sample that my niece gave me seemed to do wonders, but this product did nothing for me. Likely will not purchase again.

I notice improvement
So Iâve purchased the Peter Thomâs Roth Potent C Power Serum twice now and love the results I see in my mirror, even skin tone for the win. Itâs not drying and plays well with other products, the scent was much more noticeable on my second purchase though. As much as I love the product I donât think I can justify the price as is the case with many skincare products lately, itâs just over the top.

Horrible Smell
I too purchased due to the escalating cost of the premium medical grade brands on a recommendation from a dermatologist. This is the most foul smelling product for the skin I have ever smelled. Perhaps I received a spoiled bottle not stored properly. I have no idea but I returned it. I put it on my face thinking the smell would go away in a moment like other vitamin c with Ferulic in it. After 5 minutes I had to wash my face and start over. I could not stand the smell any longer. I asked my husband if he could smell it and he said it smelled like something rancid. There are many great vitamin c products and I have moved on.
