Kristy Dark –
Reliable, Crystal-Clear Security with Smart Features That Actually Work
This is the best security investment Iâve made. As someone whoâs moderately tech-savvy, I found the setup process manageable. Itâs truly âplug and play.â It’s not wireless, but it’s pretty simple to connect each of the four cameras with a single Ethernet cable. Everything you need is in the box, including cables, mounting hardware, and even a mouse for the NVR.The video quality is impressive. I can clearly make out faces, license plates, and other fine details. What blew me away is the starlight color night vision. Even in really dark areas without the spotlight, I still get color footage. When the spotlight activates, everything gets even clearer. HDR helps avoid overexposure from headlights or porch lights, which is a big plus when reviewing footage. The system accurately distinguishes between people, cars, and irrelevant motion like leaves blowing or shadows, so I’ve had very few false alerts. The AI-powered smart search feature is fantastic. I can just type in “person” or “car,” for example, and the system pulls up relevant clips instantly.I also really appreciate the red and blue strobe lights and the smart siren feature. When the system detects a potential intruder, the flashing lights and sound kick in. It’s a great deterrent, especially at night. So far, it’s only activated once — when a coyote was skulking around the property!I feel much safer than I did before, and I absolutely recommend this to homeowners to want more peace of mind.

Wired camera
Very easy to set-up and is a nice update. Physically installing the cameras is the hardest part (especially compared to the WIFI cameras, but no different than any other wired camera) but that was expected. In case you missed it, it does come with 4 59′ ethernet cords – totally depends on your set-up if these are going to be long enough – I originally had one concern which was the provided ethernet cords / camera connections didn’t seem as weather resistant as those that I have on my line of sight wireless bridge and an exterior access point, which would only be a concern if the wire wasn’t going immediately into the structure (the cord goes through the camera support so it can go directly into the structure without being visible but also has a slot in the base so it can come out of the camera mount and go where you need it) – one of my placement options had the wire having to be run through patio joists and thought I’d have to to some makeshift work to make it weather resistant…. until I found the weatherproofing connections in the box already included so concern was not a real issue as it was already resolved – the ethernet cables themselves don’t have writing notating outside use like my other cables do but the connection appears to be otherwise weather-resistant, just unsure if the cords are UV resistant. So overall (relatively) easy to install, seems to include everything you need (unless you need a lot more length in ethernet cord), pairs well into existing systems and is also expandable in terms of both cameras and data storage as needed. Quality is beyond what I probably needed for home use but very nice – the video searching capabilities are pretty interesting too.

Excellent starter kit with everything included
This turned out to be an awesome kit that includes practically everything you need to get your security camera system up and running.Along with the main video storage unit that records the cameras you also get all the needed cabling and mounting hardware for the 4 included 4k POE fixed cameras. The Quick Start Guide walks you through the initial mounting of the cameras and connecting up the NVR.You can interact with the cameras thought the NVR and it’s HDMI output along with the included mouse. Keyboard input is handled on-screen or you can use your own standard usb keyboard. There is also a versatile app for your phone that is easy to install and configure. From a video quality standpoint the included (e40 model) 4k cameras with 122 degree field of view are a great starting point and showcase the advanced detection capabilities for motion and objects. Night vision and spotlight functionality along with decent quality audio are all working together for you. If you’re looking for more flexibility the manufacturer also sells the model S4 and E41 cameras with more advanced capabilities like PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) and different FOV (Field Of View) angles. For expandability the NVR system can be upgraded to a larger hard drive for increased recording time, and up to 16 cameras (8 of which can use the built-in POE ports) are supported. I presume the rest are WiFi connected.

Good qaulity, easy to setup
We currently pay our home security company a monthly fee so we can have video recording from a few cameras around the house. I was looking for an alternative that didn’t have a monthly fee, and came across this Eufy POE system. It’s easy to install and even comes with Ethernet cables so everything needed is in the box. The 4K capable cameras provide a clear image and the app is fairly easy to use. I really like that power and video is provided over a single wire with only one plug needed. The system is well-made and has some great features built-in. It’s “AI” detection with facial recognition works fairly well. My only complaint about this is that it requires the use of an app. While they don’t charge for it, it does mean that it requires a live Internet connection for use. I’ve used CCTV security systems before that have a built-in local website so they can be used without a live connection to the company’s servers. Other than this, this is a very good system with great expandability options and I highly recommend it.
