Good quality overall, sockets and bits lock solidly but with some slop.
The only minor complaint I have is that there is a fair amount of slop in the connection to the ratchet (sockets, extension, and bit adapter). Every part completely locks in place (can’t be removed without pressing the release button) but has a little more slop than other less expensive sets I have. The slop in the ratchet mechanism itself is typical (minimal) but the slop in the actual 1/4″ drive connection is more than I like.The ratchet quality seems very good – love the fine 216 point engagement points! The round ratchet handle is about 4.5″ long, which is a little bit longer than other 1/4″ drive sets I have, and is very comfortable with a fantastic chrome finish. All the parts have the same fantastic chrome finish – very nice! The sockets have a recessed ring to help with grip if your hands are oily or greasy. The bits seem to be very good quality and the markings are very clear and easy to read. Many others I have are not so easy to read so the clear markings on this entire set are very nice!The plastic storage case is just OK – does the job well but I’m just not a fan of these blow-mold type cases to begin with. The bits are held in those annoying rubber blocks but at least these have holes in the bottom so the bits can be easily pushed out for use.Overall I really like this set. Hopefully it lasts as long as the 50+ year old sets my dad has!

Excellent for small spaces
The most notable feature of this socket set is the 216-position ratchet, providing exceptional flexibility in tight spaces, down to a remarkable 1.6 degrees, beating out even the high-end German socket wrenches I own. The quick-release button and thumbwheel design also make it convenient to use; and the shape of the handle is very ergonomic.The set includes a variety of SAE sockets and hex bits, along with an extension bar. The clear size markings on each piece ensure easy identification. The compact toolbox keeps everything organized and protected, and has actual hinges and a removable top which sets it apart from cheaper sets with thin blow-molded cases and living hinges.For what it is, it’s great quality. I personally prefer larger sets that also include metric, but your needs may vary.

Received Item in good condition,At first a bit shocked to see an SK tool available on Amazon Vine program, Sk known to be one of the last high quality tool names left made in the USA, finding out it’s now made in China, a major let down,For a fair test, I will be test comparing it to my Craftsman made in China set,If it’s about as good as Craftsman, then the price should reflect it,A bit expensive for a tool that is made in China considering the computation of not only Craftsman, but other company’s like Tekton, Gearwrench, Milwaukee ex…. some with no hassle warranties,Love the green plastic box,Update:Quality is way better than I expected being it was made in China,Tolerances are noticeably better than that of the Craftsman and some others, but my Tekton had the tightest Tolerances,I did do some stress testing on ratchet, no problems yet,

Socket set Vine review. Brand SK. Being a 1/4â drive, when many of us are used to 3/8â drive, and some 1/2â drive, this set is initially suspect. But think on it a bit.1. This fits in a modest 9.75 x 7.25 x 2â case.2. Still, the sockets range from 9/16 down to 5/32. So a very strong range of coverage.3. And the 22 hex bits bits have an excellent range for a set this size, especially the T10, T15, T20, T25, T27 and T30, where I usually find sets lacking.4. Seems pretty good for household use and backup use. Especially if you keep 3/8 drive down to 1/4 socket adapter! (Or 3 :)This is a very nice set, from a company with a long 110 year USA history. Disclosure: With this set made in China.An easy 4 Star review based on specs and price range as of today.Watch out for that tiny zip tie on the handle! doh!IMHO – What could really make this set unique and desirable would be a SLIM magnetic hex bit driver for those 22 bits!
