Customers say
Customers find the wrench rack to be of excellent quality, sturdy, and effective at organizing open-end wrenches. However, the securing mechanism receives mixed feedback – while some say the wrenches stay in place, others report they fall out easily. The fit is also mixed, with some saying it’s great while others find it too tight to fit wrenches properly. The rack’s ease of access is mixed, with one customer noting it’s easy to tote to work sites.

Great Wrench Holder, Just Wish They Made a Longer One
So if you have a set of wrenches that fits in one, this item is near-perfect IMO. However, I know most people (myself included) have a set that needs two, to fit all of them in and while I’m very happy with how it came out (see picture) there are some warnings I have to give if you want to do down this path which are no fault this design.First off, I have a metric set of Wright wrenches that go from 7mm to 24mm with no skips. The first one holding 7 to 16 works flawlessly and there are no quarks/issues with it at all. Now to get 17 to 24 in the second one everything is pretty tight especially at the front since the gaps get progressively larger. So much so that if I have a friend over helping, I make sure to grab any wrench off the second one as in the past the whole thing has been accidentally knocked off by friends of mine while trying to break free some of the wrenches (not their fault as it is easy to do if you’re not careful/aware of the quarks) . With something like wrenches not the end of the world, just more annoying, but you do have to make sure to push it against the wall while breaking the wrenches free on the second one since they are in there so tightly. (again not the case at all with the first one)Also if you look carefully their would have normally been a gap in one of them that isn’t used, but my OCD got the best of me so I cut that slot out and overall It turned out great, there is a little big of a odd angle that the magnet broke at (I’d never cut a magnet before) that you can see at the interface between the two, but it’s something you have to know is there to see IMO.So if you are trying to fit a set of wrenches that takes two of these, it can/does work just not ideally. Which again is no fault of this design IMO. If your biggest wrench is a 22mm this holder should work out real nice for you. Obviously 24 does fit, but it’s REALLY tight and I don’t think a 25 or larger would work at all. The magnet strength is GREAT and despite being hacked and starting with a size 17 as the “small” wrench I’ve never had any issues with the second one holding itself up due to weight alone. It used to be on a toll cart lid and even while moving, it never fell. And these are longer than normal, very heavy wrenches it’s loaded with.Really if they just made a longer version of this that covered even 7-21 or ideally 6-24 it would be even better, but I’ve been really happy with the two I have and I’ve had them for almost 6 months now.

Great buy
Bought SAE and Meteric my open and box end wrenches. Love the quality of the wrenches. They are sturdy and have a nice finished.

These kind of work good
These work fairly well as long as you close the door or move your toolbox kind of slowly and carefully or they will fall out. Magnets are strong also wish they had options with more slots

Great Rack BUT…….
The holder bar on this is sturdy but as a contractor I need these to be portable. Problem is the sturdy bar does not remain clipped. There is a fix that works great. Grab a couple of the wife’s hair ties and two sets of pliers. Do the following:1. Bend the retainer bar in two places. This will also clamp the retainer bar agtighter (See pic)2. Cut hair ties (see pic)3. Knot primary hair tie into a loose loop. (See pic)4. Knot secondary tie in loop of primary hair tie to make a pull string of sorts to easily disarm primary hair tie.(See pic)5. Using the pull string to wrap around to openings in base of wrench holder.Viola

Nice but not perfect
Ok but securing mechanism is weak. Had to use Velcro strap to fully secure closed.

Secure holder for taking wrenches around the house for projects, and made in a democracy
I purchased this as a replacement for the basic holder that came with a set of wrenches. The holder they came with relied on a soft plastic tab to “lock” a flap over the wrenches, but the flimsy tab broke off and wrenches kept falling out. Since I take these wrenches around the house to work on various projects rather than working at a workbench, I needed something more reliable because these wrenches are going to get jostled a lot. This Ares rack set has rubberized holders that keep each wrench snugly in place. I’m not sure the metal locking bar is absolutely necessary to keep them from falling out, but I appreciate the extra backup.A bonus which I didn’t expect when I purchased this rack set is that these are Made in Taiwan. I knew that Ares was family-owned and based in Seattle, but it was a pleasant surprise to also find out that this product was made in a democracy.
