Quality at a Bargain Price
LOVE this coffee maker — it is easy to use, compact, and makes better coffee than a previous much more expensive one -and the silver is a stylishly fit with my stainless appliances A critical reason I chose this maker is that the hot plate stays on for 2 full hours — double what most coffee makers will do. I also like the compact size– it’s several inches in all directions smaller than similar ones I compared. Other reviews indicate it’s slow, but it doesn’t take any longer than my 5 cup pot (brewed both on medium), and I like that I can set the brew strength. Unlike some folks, I also found it easy to pour water into the reservoir and coffee into my cup. Great value for the cost, ability to adjust brew strength , and programmability. I used a paper filter instead of the permanent one — #4 worked great and only brew only 5 cups most days — tastes great either way.

Great coffee maker. Adjustable strength for brew. Very sensitive touch pad. Be careful not to set for auto timed brew when not wanted. Easy to program for auto brew. Great tasting coffee.

Nice coffee maker with caveats
Overall we are happy with this drip coffee maker but it has a couple of things that keep it from being “5-star”.The biggest issue I have with it is filling the reservoir with water. First, this has a single lid that covers both the water reservoir and the grounds basket. This means you have to fill with water before adding grounds because the reservoir fill area is rather small and the lid doesn’t tilt out of the way, resulting in water likely spilling into the grounds basket area. Because of the shape of the carafe and the tall lid you also cannot pour all of the water from the carafe, about 1 Tbl remains in the carafe every fill. Yes, this may be nit-picking but it is an issue for me.Since ‘cup’ in coffee makers is an arbitrary unit for this maker 10-cup is the same as 8-cup was for my Hamilton Beach pot, not a big deal once I figured it out.It makes a good cup of coffee, much stronger than my HB did when on “Bold” so I had to dial this one back to “Med” instead.We like the compact size and the brew time is fine. I also like the muted blue color of the clock.

Compact coffee maker; major flaws.
This coffeemaker was exactly what I wanted: makes a good cup of coffee, small enough to fit on my counter, good-looking. However, after four months, the heating plate is terribly rusty. See photo.I called Krups customer service department, and they were very nice, offering to accept it for repair, but it involved sending it to them and being without a coffeemaker for three weeks. This is unacceptable for a product that is still under warranty and only four months old ! Why can’t they send me a loaner and repair this one? Poor customer service from a brand I trusted.I was able to locate a repair shop thru the Krups website. If the machine is under warranty, Krups will email a UPS shipping label. The reference code on the label is necessary for free repair.The repair shop guy said the rusting occurred because of the coffee’s acid dripping on the plate!I now have the repaired machine. We remove the filter cone with the wet coffee grounds before we remove the carafe. The warming plate is starting to degrade again. Why can’t they find a warming plate finish that does not react with the acid in the coffee?We have had the repaired machine now for less than 6 months, and the heating is rusty in spite of I urgently carefully trying to I prevent drips.A few days ago, a pot of coffee took more than 30 mins to brew, making the sputtering sound that the machine makes before the brewing has finished. We gave it a second chance. Same!I’m going to throw in the towel and buy a new coffee maker.Please change my rating to zero stars.

This replaced my old Krups coffee maker, which lasted more than 25 years…I sure hope this one last that long and this new one also makes excellent coffee !!!!

Water reservoir designed poorly
I did my research, and I even asked the company I order coffee from if they had any recommendations. While they did not recommend this specific coffee maker, they did tell me that this one was well known, and that I should definitely try it.Try it, I did! Iâm disappointed in how Amazon delivered. I saved $20 by ordering a product that said it might have slight damage to the box. Slight? It literally came in its original box. They didnât even put the item ( glass ) safely in another package. This is probably one of the reasons why Iâm having some problems with the coffee maker working sufficiently, but thatâs not my reason for this post.The main reason I am posting this as you will see in my video, is to show you how super inconvenient preparing coffee is. My greatest joy is waking up in the morning to make my coffee, but over the last few days using this coffee maker I have honestly dreaded making my coffee. Water always spills, and I find myself cleaning as Iâm trying to get ready in the morning. Itâs just poorly made. Watch my video for reference, and the whole thing is plastic inside. The water reservoir is so tiny, and impossible to pour all of your water into without spilling. Prior to this purchase I had a $20 Mr. coffee and it was better working than this. Much easier, and less hassle. Only reason I replaced it is because after many years it broke.I will be returning this and trying something else out.

Great coffee, (at last) !!
Only had for a short time, but ( I LOVE this coffee maker!!) Had the 5 cupper before, but got tired of the lid constantly closing on my hand and having to lift it back up to add water or grounds and finally broke it ! That wasnât the only problem; the warming plate was way too hot and would burn the coffee up before I could get a second cup! So did this mean it wasnât brewing at the right temperature either?(Took me a while to figure out what was wrong!) It also didnât have an auto off function. Didnât really need a 10 cuper but It went on sale for $20 dollars off and I couldnât resist!!This coffee maker is highly recommended.

I wanted a coffee pot that was simple and didn’t take up too much space on my counter. This one fit the bill. I like that you can choose how strong you want your coffee and it shuts off after a few hours. Looks quite elegant. Very pleased.

It looks nice, but I suspect the stainless steel is steel colored plastic as it is very light! Just felt cheaply made, although it brewed a very nice cup of coffee. I also worry about the touch pad controls; a bit finicky to turn it on. The older Krups models were better made; I used to sell them in a kitchen shop. For $115.00 (what I paid), I want a better made machine. A pipe dream, maybe.

Es de las mejores marcas en el mercado, llegó incluso antes de lo esperado (la compré a menos de 2 semanas de navidad y los envÃos tienden a retrasarse en esas fechas)Es sencilla de utilizar, tiene configuraciones para programar el horario en que quieras tu café y también opciones sobre qué tan fuerte quieres tu café, aunque no la he probado lo suficiente para saber que tan precisa sea la función, actualizaré más tarde en cuanto tenga datos suficientes.No quema el café y lo entrega a una buena temperatura, una de las cosas que yo más buscaba era el apagado automático y ésta lo hace acabando el ciclo de filtrado, mantiene 2 horas caliente el café en la jarra, no he encontrado problemas con ello, la temperatura se mantiene bastante agradable.Lo único que no me gustó fue que los materiales me parecen muy sensibles cuando se compara con modelos más viejos de la misma marca en el mismo rango de precio, es agradable a la vista pero definitivamente no es un producto PremiumSi buscas una marca buena ésta serÃa una de las mejores opciones, la marca tiene productos de alta gama y ésta serÃa una de las opciones más económicas, para que te rinda y le saques el mayor provecho no olvides leer en el instructivo sobre como descalcificar la cafetera.

This coffee maker makes excellent coffee!! Had no issues pouring water into reservoir. Some reviews indicated this as being a problem although the water pours into the reservoir with ease! Used the recommended amount of coffee and it was perfect for us! It does brew a little slower than your average coffee maker although there is a reason for this. Depending on which strength of coffee you choose this will vary. It’s obvious that a little more time brews a much better cup of coffee. We have tried multiple coffee makers and always ended up with coffee that was subpar. I would highly recommend this coffee machine!!!
