The NVR supports up to 16 channels. The Bullet-PTZ camera occupies 2 real-time streams, and up to 8 Bullet-PTZ cameras can be connected.
Can the PoE camera be used on its own without connecting to the NVR?
No. eufy PoE Cam currently can only be used when connected and paired with a eufy NVR.
Can eufy PoE Cam be connected to other brands’ NVR systems, or to HomeBase 2 or HomeBase 3?

How do I update eufy PoE Cam’s firmware?

Great addition to eufy PoE NVR
Iâve been using this camera with the eufy PoE NVR Security System and it works really well. The setup was simple with a single Ethernet cable for both power and data. The camera only works with the eufy NVR, but once connected, the performance is excellent. The video quality is very clear, with sharp details during the day, and I was pleasantly surprised that it stays in color even in low-light conditions. Since itâs hardwired, thereâs no need to worry about WiFi dropouts or jammers, which gives extra peace of mind for security. If you already have the eufy PoE NVR Security System, this camera is a great addition.

Great quality!
I would rate this 4.5 stars but the reason Iâm giving it 5 is because I knew some of the limitations of this system.Pros: fast controls, excellent image quality, excellent tracking, great AI detection and recognition, great eufy App, so many cameras and being able to point the ptz a different direction than the top wide camera provides more coverage, NVR runs quiet and cool and is very responsiveCons: no HomeKit or Matter integration, small included hard drive (I upgraded to 8TB Seagate Nighthawk AI HD which suits my needs), no good web portal/canât access the NVR unless itâs plugged directly into into a monitor which can be a pain if you mount it somewhere out of the wayOverall this is a great system, just know that you are going to want to put it somewhere easily accessible and if you are away you are relying solely on the app to control.

My favorite PoE camera ever!
This is by far the best PoE camera Iâve ever seen or heard of! We built out house 4 years ago and I had cat6 run to what I thought was a reasonable amount of places. I had 7 cameras up and still had blind spots and the system I was using was difficult to actually get footage from. These cameras and the Eufy NVR system are amazing! No more blind spots. AI tracking does a decent job and itâs nice to have a zoom in function automatic. Installation was a breeze and took less than 15 minutes. Mounting options are great. I can say enough how happy I am with this system, especially after living with a sub par system for 4 years that cost about the same.

Its probably the best PoE camera system on the market for now.
I did research for months before buying a PoE security camera system. Nothing really caught my eye until i saw this camera system with the PTZ camera plus one extra camera on top. This system checked all the boxes for me and i bought it right away. It doesn’t leave blind spots, PTZ function, PoE, NVR and it requires no subscription. For me it was an easy choice too because i already have the Eufy C20 robot vacuum/mop and i like that product from Eufy enough that i was confident in making the decision. The cameras are easy to set up and work great! Its crystal clear, sharp and i dont have to worry about losing wifi connection all the time like what i had with Wyze subscription based wifi cameras. I can and will upgrade the storage to 16 TB. Im extremely pleased with this product. Great job Eufy, once again.

BEST SECURITY CAMERA SYSTEM I HAVE EVER SEEN!
Best Security Camera System I have ever seen. Each camera is essentially 2 cameras in one! The top camera is fixed and gives you a broader field of view while the lower camera is will zoom in and follow the motion taking place in detail with AI. So you can essentially get 2 viewing angles from 1 camera. Nothing is getting past these things! I had mine wired/installed by a professional and after watching him do his thing unless you really know what you are doing with wiring and ethernet cables I would highly recommend getting them professionally installed. I am very pleased with this system so far and Im 3 months up and running with no issues!

Frustrating at first… but now working
Update #2:After another system update all issues stated in the first 2 reviews have been addressed and fixed. Eufy support was thorough and was checking back with me to make sure everything was working well. Upgraded to 5 stars.Update:Eufy responded to my last email finally and offered to set up a phone call. I replied and have not heard back as of yet. Been a few days. There was an update performed and for the past 3 days the system has been working it seems. I did notice that the PTZ cams can lose a subject if the subject crosses a bush or tree. The location I need the camera is in a sidewalk and we have one 5ft narrow bush. The camera tracked the subject from the road and then entering our sidewalk up to the bush. When the person crossed behind the bush and up onto our porch the camera was already reset to the original position towards the road. I’m suprised the 1 second crossing behind the bush would throw it off that easily. The person was on our porch literally right behind the camera. If the cam stayed tracking we would have had a close up of their face. That was a huge fail. Upgraded to 4 stars for now due to support responding.Original: As for now I’m not sure I’m happy with the system. The ptz camera quality seem to be very good. The bullet cams are not impressive. When things work I’m happy with it. The problem is every day the NVR or cameras randomly stop sending notifications to my phone. It’s all 4 cameras in this system that go quiet even with movement. I’ve gone back and forth with support via email since Eufy NO LONGER HAS A PHONE NUMBER FOR SUPPORT. They’re working on overseas hours so if you have a major concern e oect to wait until the next day to get a response. This is VERY frustrating. We have serious security concerns where this system was installed. There’s been multiple days that our older wireless cams go off and send us a notification but this “New improved state of the art ” system does not. Support stopped responding to our concern after they didn’t have an answer to why the notifications aren’t happening. Every single day we need to restart the system when it stops sending notifications. Our main concern is when it stops sending notifications at night which is when our greatest concern for safety is. Just today we had a delivery and our older eufy cams worked well.. this system was completely silent. No notifications at all. Delivery guy walked right in front of the camera. Unacceptable. Eufy if you’re reading this bring back phone support and respond to our emails!

defective and return devices shipped to customers without quality control
this is what I received today. I canât believe they sent me a defective unit.Thereâs probably a good chance that they never really open the box. Somebody returned it.Take a look at this picture this is ridiculous.Iâve seen more and more issues with amazon.com and third-party sellers I had to return three things in the past two weeks because of the same issue
