Wow – the Effects are limitless – following lights, programmable, syncing….5 Stars!
The eufy Permanent Outdoor Lights S4 turned out to be far more advanced and impressive than I expected. The smart features, like radar-activated motion effects, a ‘walk-with-you’ style following lighting effect – so cool! Vibrant RGBWW color options, and customizable light themes, make the display feel professional and dynamic. I especially love how the lights can sync with music and respond to movement, creating an interactive, festive atmosphere that works beautifully for holidays and everyday use. Once everything is set up, the app gives you a ton of control, and the lights themselves are bright, smooth, and weather-ready.That said, assembling the system felt a bit like putting together a puzzle. There are quite a few connectors, segments, and mounting pieces to get just right, so patience during the installation definitely pays off. Once you get past that initial setup phase, though, the payoff is absolutely worth it â the end result is an ultra-modern, permanent lighting system thatâs both functional and eye-catching – this is high grade lighting. Get creative.

These look great, but they are too expensive
These lights came well organized and securely packed in a box with everything you need to install. The parts look and feel very high quality. I ordered the 100ft kit with radar sensor, and I ended up using everything except the splice connector.I followed the instructions to test the lights before going outside to install on my house. The WiFi connection and initial setup was simple, by following the included instructions and the guided steps in the app.I installed these lights on a brick ranch home. I was able to use an outlet in my garage for power, and with the included cord extension, I routed the wiring up to a convenient spot where I drilled a 3/4″ hole through my drywall and into the eave above the soffit, near where I wanted my first light. From there I could route the light strip around the edge of the soffit and start mounting the lights. I used the included card to place lights at a consistent 3.5″ from my house. Each light has a bracket with 3M tape on it. I used the tape to get the initial position, then secured each light permanently with the included screws. I performed the installation over the course of a few evenings, and I had some trouble with the 3M tape not sticking on the high humidity days. So, I highly recommend using a screw even if it does take longer.I’m pleased with the results, the lights add a nice ambient effect to my house, and they are incredibly bright even at 15% where I have been using them. Turning the lights up to 100% is impressive, but I would never want that brightness in my semi-rural neighborhood. The colors are also impressive. My son wanted a neon blue, pink, green scheme (which we created as a custom color pattern in the app) and those colors look great too. There are tons of colors and several different white color temperatures to pick from depending on your preference. We like the warm white the best, for a cozy quiet feel.The AI and built in “scenes” for holidays and moods are a bit tacky in my opinion. I don’t like the motion or sequencing that most of those have.The scheduling in the Eufy app is about limited. You can set on/off for sunrise/sunset or to custom times. I wanted mine to turning at sunset and off at 11:00pm. This wasn’t possible in the Eufy app. However I was able to successfully connect the lights to Google Home using the Matter QR code on the back of the WiFi module. Then from Google Home, I can use the Automation function to set the timing I wanted. This also allows me to control my lights from my “OK Google” voice assistant.The radar is cool, and was easy to install using the included hardware and positioning card. If you wish to use the “follow me” function, you must perform a simple calibration routine (in the Eufy app) where you walk to the extreme right and left, then tell the system which light goes with each location. Once calibration is finished, you can use one of the 4 “follow” presets to have the lights above your head light up as you walk by. It’s neat, and it works surprisingly well. I only wish the radar status would report out to Google Home so that I could turn on the wifi enabled front porch light when there is motion in the front yard or sidewalk.Overall, I really like these lights, and I think they will last a long time. However, I probably would look for something else if I were on a tight budget. There are other more economical products on the market that would probably be better option. These are just way too expensive, even on sale.Jesus is king!

Smart lights that transform the whole house
I installed this lighting system along the roofline of my house, and the results are stunning. At 100 feet with 72 LEDs, the coverage is more than enough to outline the front of my home, and the colors are bright and even. The RGBWW setup really shows its strengthâthe warm white looks classy for everyday use, while the full spectrum of colors makes holiday decorating effortless. The AI themes are creative and change automatically, which saves me time fiddling with settings.The smart features go beyond just looks. The radar activation works better than I expectedâlights kick on smoothly as soon as someone approaches, which adds a nice security touch. I also love the music sync mode; we tested it during a family gathering and everyone was impressed at how well the lights pulsed to the beat. Setup wasnât overly complicated, and Matter support means it integrates easily with my other smart home devices. Theyâre waterproof and built to stay up year-round, so I donât have to keep hanging and taking down lights every season.

These eufy permanent outdoor lights are awesome! We love eufy products and were excited to give these a try.Not gonna lie, at first, the set-up seems overwhelming. Just walk through the steps. Have a plan. Donât rush to get them up. Doing it right the first time will save you a lot of headache.Overall, installation went well. To do 100ft strand plus extensions, it took about 2-2 1/2 hours to do our home. We had to think about where we were starting and ending and have appropriate measurements for the Make sure you dust off where you apply the sticky.The app for the control is super user friendly. It walks you through installation well.There are so many different light configurations. Thereâs at least one for every holiday. For instance, Halloween has four settings and Christmas has five. And if you donât like any of those, you can easily create your own light setting. I havenât experimented with putting them to music quite yet but I am intrigued.We love these lights for being festive throughout the year while also shining some extra light on our house for extra safety. There is even a motion sensor included to turn up the color of motion is detected where you donât want it. Overall, a great product!

Nice 100â outdoor colorful lights
These lights are nice. This is the second strand that I have. They look just as pictured. Each light is more of a half ball, not like a small strand light that you would see on Christmas led lights. Very easy to attach. They also work and sync nicely also. Iâve got 100â and realize I need much more, ha.
