Did the Trick
Last year we replaced our living room carpeting with laminate flooring planks. It was the first time we have done this and it took some learning on our end in order to do a good job. But we are still finding small gaps that were left when the flooring was installed, so we ordered this to fix those areas and I can say that even for beginners like us it was pretty easy to repair those floor gaps at home. You do need to make sure you have like a rubber mallet to use with it.

This is one of those tools that just works and at a great price. I’ve tried suction cup styled gap fixers without a lot of stuff access. We have highly textured LVP floors and the texture interferes with the suction. The only thing I’ve had success with is a $300 Grabbo powered suction device.This works just as well for 90% less. The sticky pad grabs on the floor and doesn’t move (until you strike the tool from the side). A quick wipe of the floor before placing the tool will help keep the pad sticky. Vacuuming the gap is also a good idea so nothing is caught and prevents the plank from closing the gap. Before replacing the plastic sheet that protects the sticky pad during storage a quick warm water rinse will get rid of any dust or dirt it picked up. Once dry the plastic protection sheet can be placed on the pad to keep it sticky while in storage.Although composite LVP is not supposed to expand and contract we find a plank has opened a gap every year and this beats alternative fixes like suction cups or blue tape and CA glue.
