This is amazing light mouse, the best mouse I ever used, it has amazing grip and quality, the dpi is the best like the g pro superlite. Also this mouse is designed for big hands instead of Mr. Tiny Tuff Knuckles who gave it 3/5 stars.Amazing value since it was 1/3 the price of the g pro super lite. Pretty easy good charging had amazing battery life. The mouse functions pretty well and I donât see any reasons why not to get it. The R series like the R is mainly for small hands unlike the V series.
Always Sharp –
So close…
The Attack Shark V5 was so close to being on my desk for a while, but sadly I’m going to be putting it away and going back to my other mice. The shape is great — it reminds me a bit of the Zowie S2 but with less of a hump toward the back. The weight is perfect for me, and the skates (after you remove the clear protective film) are very smooth. The main Omron Optical switches have a bit of ping but are mostly well implemented. Side buttons are mechanical and work well with no major pre or post travel. The sensor has been very good in my testing, with nothing to complain about. The web-based software is fairly easy to use and works fine. The clear USB dongle looks interesting, but it just has one super bright LED instead of it being diffused. I feel like that was a missed opportunity for something unique. I had to turn it off because it was blindingly bright. That lead me to the biggest disappointment of this mouse… the scroll wheel. Attack Shark mice, in my experience, have poor scroll wheels. They are usually mushy and vague, and get stuck between steps which is a big deal for me when playing FPS games. However, this wheel is not just the usual mushy and vague mess, the scroll wheel sometimes doesn’t respond when scrolling. I’ve had it happen numerous times now where multiple steps on the scroll wheel simply won’t respond until I scroll a few more times. Very frustrating, and disappointing. This could have been such a great mouse. The charging cable is also stiff and I wouldn’t want to use it while gaming. It came with mouse grips as well, but I do not use grips so I cannot comment on them. As a side note, I’m not sure why they included a coiled keyboard cable with my mouse, but I guess I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth. I suspect they intend the user to use it with their mouse dongle instead, but it would look odd having two of them on my desk.Edit: It may be a false positive, but right after writing this review, I had a Windows Defender Security warning come up that a trojan was detected on my computer (Win32/Vigorf.A) and I suspect it may have something to do with the software/drivers for this mouse that it had me install. My internet security also warned me that the Attack Shark site was considered malicious, but I dismissed it initially. Again, it may just be nothing, but be careful.
