The hot staples gets heated rapidly when you press the activation button, and you can embed the staples into plastic cracks to join the two broken pieces. An economical and worthwhile tool for plastic repair.
I wish I had bought one of these a long time ago. It repaired a plastic leg/foot on my Weber Baby Q grill which fell off a table and hit the ground. I put 3 staples on one side of the crack, and 2 on the other side, making for a sturdy repair.However, the clippers that came with it are pretty much worthless for trimming the hard stainless steel staples. You need to use strong electrical diagonal cutters. After using the included pliers just 4 times, the jaws were so pitted, I threw them away. I guess in an initial emergency, they will work, but after that, they are useless.In summary, the welder seems well made and for $21, a good investment.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!Plastic welding? Heck yes!! This works so great as soon as you get a hang of using it and then you have something to use it with. Then you have to be smart about where you start âfixing thingsâ as some plastic handles have to be thicker so they donât hurt your hands with your âfixâ or you donât melt something else while fixing somethingâ¦Iâve experimented with this and had a lot of fun as itâs perfect for fixing small engine plastic pieces and larger plastics like car parts even silly stuff like building mailboxesâ¦

I like what it does. Solidifies the cracks well. In my case I did not get some them deep enough and one or two pushed through, They were on a finished surface so a little unsightly but better than being broken and cracked. Great tool…

Amazing Hot Stapler
This is a must tool for performing any type of plastic body repairs on cars. This tool works so fast and itâs extremely easy to use, I was literally having fun using this because I just thought something this easy to use couldnât also be this exciting haha. I chose this exact tool due to the straight design and the size for maneuverability, the other ones had some sort of bent rod design, which looked weird to me and not suitable for my immediate needs. Iâve only used it once so Iâm not sure on durability, but hopefully it last a long time with very few uses.

Game changer
My husband is obsessed with this tool. His comment is how have we lived without it. We fixed things we would have either thrown away or tried gluing over and over. Biggest fix was our 12 foot skeletons that ate it during a wind storm, a couple key fobs and many odds and ends around the house. Seriously, if you are on the fence- BUY IT!!

Worked Great!
I can’t comment on the longevity as I’ve only used it for one task thus far. But for that task it worked great! I flipped my SxS leaving a huge crack/gap for a span of about two feet long my rear inner quarter panel. I pulled it together closing the gap and used this about every two inches and has held up well.

Welder itself worked perfect on my first repair. However, the cutter included not so much. Would’ve rather had pre-notched staples (and more of them) that break off in exchange for cutters. Had to use a file to get rid of sharp protrusions.
