Iâve been really impressed with the Ring Outdoor Cam Plus. The image quality is the first thing that stands out. The camera delivers a crisp, clear picture, both day and night, which gives me confidence that I can actually make out important details like faces or cars. The night vision is especially solid compared to other cameras Iâve tried.The other big plus for me is the ease of setup. From the moment I scanned the QR code, the Ring app walked me through the process step by step, and I had it up and running in just a few minutes. I went with the plug-in version for convenience, but I also picked up an extra battery to keep on hand as a backup in case of power outages. That flexibility in powering the camera is a huge bonus and takes away a lot of the worry.Finally, I like the form factor. The design is compact and clean without being bulky or awkward. It doesnât look out of place mounted outside the house, and it feels sturdy enough to handle the elements. The mounting options gave me flexibility in where to position it, so I could get the exact angle I wanted.Overall, the combination of sharp image quality, painless setup, and a well-thought-out design make this a camera Iâd definitely recommend.

Need a light source for nighttime…clearly stated in instructions
I installed this on my backyard shed and, during the day, its amazing. Very clear. The motion zones were EZ to setup and I get a notification when our landscape guy comes. The installation was EZ and hooking it up to solar power to keep battery life was great.However, I live in the country and have ZERO backyard light. So at night – this thing is black. The description clearly says (and I did not read/ see it) that street lighting is needed to allow the 2k night vision to work. Hopefully my title alerts people to the need for ambient lighting at night.

Great upgrade to my older ones. Resolution is higher – I like the new design of the cord and transformer better than the old one. The app is great and the subscription for the monitoring is worth it esp when you have multiple cameras. The wifi connection is great and it performs well in neighborhoods where there are like 100 different wifis in the area. Only complaint I have is Ring needs to increase its video compression quality on the app and storage. I know the camera is very capable of the video, but the compression they put on the video is way too much. This isnt on just this camera, its on all ring cameras and platform. Setup is super easy.

The quality of the camera is really good. High resolution colored video. The price is very reasonable. I just ordered one more. Very easy to install, you will need to drill 4 pilot holes on the wall.

It does what they say it does
I really like this thing. It took me a few to figure how to mount it properly but it all came together pretty easily. It works very well and is well worth the money. The picture is great and it can be configured to sound an alarm on my phone when it detects a person. Canât beat that. Just as good as a doorbell and it plugs in so I donât have to worry about batteries. Good deal.

Excellent outdoor camera and GREAT resolution
This “ring” outdoor camera is quite fabulous. The resolution is excellent. It has the exact same settings as the doorbell ring device which makes it very easy to configure. I have yet to test the camera at night (in low light conditions), but, I am sure it will work very well. Easy install and setup. Highly recommended!

so this camera works well … but its a prerequisite for buying a service from its manufacturers which you need if you want to use some of the more useful features… otherwise its just a camera for checking on a location…. a little dissapppointed .
