Time will tell whether these solve my winter ice problem
Last summer, we bought a cabin up in northern Michigan. This spring, we found that ice had damaged both of the sewer vent pipes where they poke out of the metal roof. They literally were pushed with so much force that the PVC pipes simply snapped! I made the repairs the first weekend we visited, but I really don’t want to have to spend time in the attic doing that again next spring. I’m hopeful that these snow guards are at least part of the solution.While these are mostly meant for going along the eve at the bottom of the roofline, I’m hopeful that they will also prove helpful by placing them above/below/around the location where the pipes poke through. Only winter will tell me if my theory is correct.The units themselves are very high in quality. Even though they’re plastic, they’re very thick and strong and have a ‘self seal’ layer that should keep them from introducing any new leaks to the roof. The kit even comes with the hardware (bolts) you need for installation! And since they’re clear, you don’t hardly even see them once installed on the roof.

These snow breaks seem durable and installed easily. The set is a good price for the quantity. I won’t know until next winter how well they work compared to the metal ones or how well they will hold up in cold temperatures.

Perfect for protecting our polycarbonate roofing panels.
We got these today. We have ordered these in the past, from a different company. These are exactly what we wanted. We are installing them on our roof so that the snow does not fall off onto the next roof which is a greenhouse roof. We’re just trying to make sure that we don’t damage the polycarbonate panels of the greenhouse roof. These will definitely do the job. They are exactly what they should be. Looks wise, they will not look tacky on the roof. They kind of blend in. They’re good value for the money. Easy to install, built really well, and they seem to be quite durable. We are not new to this product. Just this seller. And these are exactly what we were expecting.

Cost effective and unobtrusive snow guards
I have a metal building with a metal roof which has had several gutters ripped off by sliding ice. The original roofing contractor installed aluminum âice guardsâ, which leaked until the wood around the screw lost holding strength and the next good snow and ice event ripped them out along with the gutter. Given the price of new, or even used (now trendy âvintageâ) ice guards, I was interested to check out these clear polycarbonate snow guards with âperfect seal gaskets and screwsâ. While I cannot attest to the perfect nature of the seal so far, the polycarbonate brackets themselves seem credible.I particularly like that they are made by an American family-owned business. The design and construction are vastly superior to the original âguardsâ on my roof, and the clear material makes them virtually invisible from the ground. The provided pre-drilled clear gasket is flexible and provides many times more sealing area than the original guards used on my metal roof. The included screws also include a gasketed washer head, so the combination should keep water out for years to come.

The title and info and photo on the ad shows that screws are included. This box did not include screws. Everything else is fine and would have given 5 stars but it was falsely advertised
