Why did you pick this product vs others?:Really nice saw. Irwin has a knack for taking an existing product and very thoughtfully making a few changes. This one has fine teeth in the very first part of the blade to make it easier to start the cut. Also very comfortable in your hand. If I had my way I would have a lot more Irwin tools.Â

Great Little Saw
Perfect little saw when you need lumber in two pieces, quickly. This is the second of these saws I’ve owned, my son sawed nails with the first one. The fact I snatched this one up when I saw it should tell you something. When you get it, loosen the handle screws and align the back perpendicular to the handle then tighten it down. Now you can use your saw to scribe 90 & 45 degree lines.

Short and Sharp
While I typically reach for a powered saw, sometimes you just need a hand saw. This one is plenty sharp and being fairly short helps keep the saw out of the way when working in tight spaces and stores away easier than a longer one.These have a comfortable handle too.I’ll be adding the Irwin ProTouch Fine-Cut Handsaw, 15-inch (2011200) soon.

great little saw, glad to retire my old one.
This saw replaced one that was 20 years old. old saw fell behind bench and moisture got the better of it. Sad to have to retire my old one but this one is better in everyway. I usually go for older tools but in this case the upgrade made a huge difference. very sturdy and the newer tooth pattern really makes quick work. power tools have their place, but there is no substitute for a quality hand tool when a quick cut is all you need.

I’m just going to say I love Irwin tools. You can always tell the quality when you pick up the tool, it cuts through a two by four like butter. Also, the fact that you can take the handle off if it or the blade wares out is a bonus. Not sure if that would be the best option price wise, but it’s there if needed.

This saw is really heavy duty and extremely sharp. I set it to purpose as soon as it arrived on a 2×4 and it ripped through that smoothly with ease. I would say unbeatable for the price.. probably unbeatable under $100. Highly recommended.
