Essential for Tight Spaces
The DURATECH 10-Piece 3/8″ Drive Crowfoot Wrench Set, covering metric sizes from 10-22mm, is an indispensable addition to any mechanic’s or serious DIYer’s toolkit, especially when dealing with fasteners in confined or hard-to-reach areas. This set provides the necessary leverage and access where standard wrenches or sockets simply can’t.Exceptional Access in Tight Spots: The primary advantage of crowfoot wrenches is their ability to access nuts and bolts that are otherwise impossible to reach with traditional tools. This set excels in that regard. Whether it’s brake lines, fuel lines, sensor fittings, or other fasteners tucked away behind engine components, these wrenches allow you to get the job done without having to disassemble half the vehicle. The 3/8″ drive makes them compatible with common ratchets and extension bars, further enhancing their versatility.Good Range of Metric Sizes: The inclusion of sizes from 10mm to 22mm covers a very common range for automotive and general mechanical work. This ensures that you’ll have the right size crowfoot for most metric flare nuts and standard bolts you encounter in tight quarters.Solid Build Quality: The wrenches themselves feel robust and well-machined. They are made from durable steel, suggesting they can withstand the torque applied in challenging situations. The finish is clean, and the size markings are clear and easy to read, which is important when working in dim or awkward positions.Convenient Storage Rail: The included storage rail is a practical touch. It keeps the wrenches organized and prevents them from rattling around or getting lost in your toolbox. This makes selecting the correct size quick and efficient, saving valuable time during a job.Considerations for Use: While crowfoot wrenches are incredibly useful, it’s important to remember their specific application. They are designed for situations where a standard wrench or socket won’t fit. For general-purpose loosening and tightening, traditional tools are often preferred due to their full 360-degree grip. However, for those specific, frustrating fasteners, this set is a lifesaver.Overall Impression: The DURATECH 10-Piece 3/8″ Drive Crowfoot Wrench Set is a highly recommended specialized tool. It’s well-made, offers a practical range of sizes, and provides crucial access to fasteners in tight spaces. If you frequently find yourself struggling with hard-to-reach bolts, this set will quickly prove its worth and become a go-to solution in your arsenal.

Good quality crowfoot set for home/DIY mechanic
This is a good quality set of crowfoot wrenches for your DIY or home mechanic. I was able to use mine to torque down the top locking nuts for my front struts. A wire ran through the center of the nut, so there was no way to attach a regular socket to it and torque it down the normal way.If you are using these for torquing, you NEED to start at 90-degrees off each time you ratchet your torque wrench back or it will not be accurate. If you are just using this to turn a hard to reach bolt or not, then it should not matter. Taking time to meticulously ensure I was 90-degrees off at the start of each tightening attempt, these functioned well and I got an accurate click at 29 ft. lbs.Sizing is accurate and the included choices for the metric set are conveniently the most common ones that one use. Thickness is just slightly more than a standard combination wrench would be on the open end, but I’m seeing that as a positive since more of it will be in contact with the nut and not round off as easily. At $30 at the time of review, the closest comparable 10-piece set of crowfoot wrenches come from the red discount tool store and those are listed for $60. These are half the price, but do not have the Lifetime Warranty that the competitors do. Up to you what’s more important, but I don’t see these breaking on me any time soon to need a warranty given the very limited use case I’ve had for it.Only thing I would have done to improve on this set given the price point would have to just went no-skip all the way from 10mm to 22mm.

A Real Problem-Solver for Tight Spaces
I picked this set up just to have around, and it immediately came in handy. The first project I used it on was a brake job on my girlfriend’s Range Rover. I couldn’t get a standard socket onto a tight caliper bolt due to range rover’s engineers inability to check if their mounting bolts are blocked by the vehicles own suspension, but these crowfoot wrenches made it possible. For what they are, these are a solid addition to the toolbox. The wrenches feel solid and well-made, with a polished finish that should hold up well against rust. What I really appreciate is the flare nut, semi-closed end design. Unlike a standard open-end crowfoot that can easily slip, this style grabs the fastener on more sides which significantly reduces the chance of rounding it off. That design is also incredibly useful for keeping the wrench on the nut in awkward, blind locations where you can’t get a hand on it to hold it steady. The sizes are clearly engraved and easy to read.In use, they performed perfectly. They fit my standard 3/8″ drive ratchets and extensions without issue, which makes them very versatile for getting into different spots. For the price, this is a fantastic problem-solver. It’s one of those tools you won’t need for every job, but when you do, they’re worth their weight in gold.
