I was looking for a 3/8 spacers this has 1/3 on one side so was close as I could find. They work as designed. However they are not as solid as I had hoped. When removing sometimes when installing laminate flooring they are wedged tight and have broke a couple already after only three rooms.

It works great with floating floors I had other set but it only goes one thickness I really like it that you could turn it over and do quarter inch or 3/8 distances for different style floors

Works great for smaller spacing widths
I used these to install a solid wood floating floor made from 1/2″ thick click-lock planks. The 60 piece box has enough spacers for my medium room with the 5″ wide planks. In the past I’ve used the two piece “shim style” spacers and found these easier to work with. I was concerned that the 1/3″ spacer would work free because of the shorter base, but they all stayed in placeâ¦even when sliding the whole floor around.This kit doesn’t include a pull bar tool, though the price is good for just spacers.Prosâ¢Â Easy to graspâ¢Â Pre-sized (1/3 and 1/4 inch)â¢Â Unlike mated shim spacers, these spacers won’t come undone if you have to slide the whole floor around (i.e. for sliding the final row under the door frame).â¢Â The shape makes it easy to see the spacing at a distance. These would be great for the visually impaired.Cons / Limitationsâ¢Â The spacer tongue is short, so these don’t work great if you skip the step of trimming the tongue off of the starter row plank. This is more of an issue for wood planks.â¢Â Can’t be combined for a 1/2″ expansion gap. Larger gaps are needed for long lengths of solid wood to allow for expansion as the seasons change. This wasn’t a problem for me: I have stable humidity so I cut my floor with 1/3″ expansion gaps to avoid the need for shoe molding (quarter round).â¢Â This kit is bulkier to store than the shim style spacers

Great floor spacers!
We used these during a remodel and they worked great for putting in the new floors. The little red spacers helped us keep the gaps nice and even all the way across, which made everything look really clean once it was done. I liked that they came in two sizes so we could pick what worked best depending on the room. Theyâre tough too, we banged them around a bit and they didnât break or wear out. They also didnât slide around while we were laying down the planks which was super helpful. Super easy to use and made the job go a lot smoother. If youâre doing any kind of flooring, these are definitely worth having on hand. Great value for your money!
