A good camera to start with
Easy to install and the quality for the video is satisfying enough for me. Perfect size to install also. The features and connectivity are simple to use. I can hear the other person’s voice super clear. I highly recommend if your in and market for a budget camera doorbell.

Great Doorbell Cam.
The IeGeek Bell J9 plus doorbell cam is a great and affordable working doorbell, Camera option. A lot of pros with this one. The app works very seamless. Connectivity was easy with the Wi-Fi network I have and and the battery life is pretty good and the pictures are actually really good for a 5 megapixel door cam and the videos are even pretty smooth. There were only three cons that I would say I wish the camera would do different one is. I wish there was a zoom out or zoom in function. The camera tends to point very high so when you’re trying to mount it, you might not get a full picture of the lower half. If you look at the picture I posted you can’t really see the steps because there’s no function to adjust the camera remotely or other otherwise ,also the battery while strong has to be recharged so to remove it you have to use a small pin or paper clip & a push hole on the bottom to get the camera out. I understand this is a security thing, but if it’s mounted to the front of your house, it’s not the easiest thing to do, especially if you live in a cold area and your hands are freezing and shaking. Overall, the app and the camera itself for the price point are definitely worth a look and I would highly recommend it. I really hope in the future yourable to adjust the lens. In an update or in the next model.

So far works good on its own but get the online storage.
SO far so good, sets up easily, like the added chime for the inside of the house. Camera quality seems good, bit of a delay. Have not checked the night vision but imagine it is OK. It is a bit larger than most but has the motion sensor so that works well and allows you to add motion to the camera. The angle is wide enough to see the area around the camera. Adds a nice touch of security to the front door area.

iphone 13 software compatibility issue with ig geek Software
First, You must connect the camera to a router WiFi. Instructions indicate it must be the router of your internet provider. Looks like a verification process rather than an actual operational need. The process is the same as hooking any device to your router – you will need your device user name and password. Second, my iphone 13 with the latest ios would not operate under the default ig geek software. The software would hang up on start. Downloaded it twice to make sure it was a compatibility issue. I downloaded the “cloudedge” app to the phone and it immediately connected to the internet and after eventually started to show video. If you do not have a microSD card it will give you a snapshot when anyone approaches the door. There is a delay but it always caught the face.However, if you insert the microSD card it stores a short video which shows the person causing the alert until the alerts no longer happen. From what I can see, there is a way to erase all your history but not individual history videos. It is now working well. Doesn’t react to animals or cars or people walking on the street (there is a sensitivity setting which may do that if you want). The biggest issue with this device is the instructions which aren’t very good even if everything goes right with the install. There is no text or pictures showing what right versus wrong looks like. This review score reflects all the issues I had to fix myself to make it work

Had a previous model – so was more than happy when needed to go with the update.Item comes well packed and very professionally put together.Having had the last model, the IEGeek app worked quickly and connected via the scan method and QR code.This one comes with a battery powered door bell, which might be an improvement from the usb version as I was always struggling to find a usb.Video quality is high, triggering automatic settings to account for bandwidth. Once adding the Iegeek app to alexa I was able to view the video via my echo show in the kitchen, which is a great addition.Settings are easy to manage and am not disappointed with the flexibility to adjust settings. I’ve added a micro sd card to store the data, but you can have a subscription, seems to be the go to thing now.Setting up and securing it in position was easy, used previous holes, and like that it can be charged on site via the opening.Very happy with this updated model, and would recommend this within the price range.

Had this J9 doorbell for a couple of weeks and impressed with it so far.The doorbell hardware looks substantial and is super easy to install, the supplied chime unit perhaps less substantial in design – it can however be set to a surprisingly loud level.Activations/doorbell pushes are quickly detected and notifications appear on the ieGeek app in a timely fashion – video playback quality is very good.One gripe may be the battery life – it doesn’t appear to be as fulfilling as the manufacturer may indicate.I intend to let the battery almost fully discharge and then monitor after re-charge to see if there is an improvement.Other than that I’m happy with the quality, performance and affordability of this J9 doorbell and would recommend it wholeheartedly.
