Worked for us
We used this pump to get the oil in our car out. It was super easy to use and we had no trouble quickly pumping the old oil out. We have no complaints and think it was a good value for the money.Pros:Ease of Use: We appreciated the simplicity of the manual pump operation, making it easy to perform oil changes without professional help.Efficiency: The extractor effectively removes oil and other fluids, reducing the mess associated with traditional draining methods.Versatility: It works well with a variety of vehicles and fluid types, making it a useful tool for DIY mechanics and boat owners.Quality Construction: the materials and build quality are robust and durable.Cons:Manual Effort: As it is a manual pump, it requires physical effort to create the vacuum, which some might find tiring for larger jobs.Suction Speed: While generally effective, the suction speed can be slower than expected, especially with thicker fluids.Hose Length: It might be possible that the hose could be longer to reach deeper or more awkwardly positioned oil pans.Overall Satisfaction:the EWK 6L Vacuum Oil Extractor Pump receives positive feedback from us for its ease of use, efficiency, and versatility. The minor drawbacks related to manual effort and suction speed do not seem to significantly detract from the overall experience.

Yes. Makes oil change clean
Works exactly as needed. I used this to exhange the oil in a snow blower. Put the blower at an angle and it sucked the oil out completely. As this is designed for a car, the suction hose (hard piece) is a bit long, still worked fine. Draining the suction hose into the holder required elevating the hose…excellent result. Result is a mess free exchange! Id buy again..

EWK 6L Vacuum Oil Extractor Pump worked great on my John Deere tractor.
I just used this oil extractor pump for the first time this week on my John Deere D130 tractor. This tractor is great but I always had to be careful changing the oil to avoid a potential EPA disaster in my garage. This pump worked perfectly as described in the video and what I read online. It’s easy to hook up and after running my tractor for a few minutes to warm up the oil, it all flowed out easily (2 quarts). Thanks to the long, thin black tube, it fit well into the dipstick holder and was relatively secure. This allowed me to prepare to change the oil filter on the other side of the engine while the oil was draining. It didn’t flow too fast which was fine with me but I would recommend some sort of clip to attach the thin black hose to the rim of the dipstick holder so that it’s more secure while draining. I look forward to using this on my snow-thrower, lawn mower, and pressure washer next. While I cannot speak for using this on a car or truck, I definitely recommend this item for smaller engines.

Functions very well but has limitations
This is the first vacuum extractor I’ve tried, choosing this unit based on the high positive reviews. It does the job nicely, but there are a few things that you need to know if you’re going to use it for a variety of jobs.1) it is not very good at removing thick fluids like a heavy hydraulic oil. You can pump all you want and it just flows very slowly. My first job for this is to remove hydraulic fluid from a bulk tank, and I don’t know the specific viscosity, although it kinda reminds me of a 50 weight or heavier. I had to mix in some kerosene to get it to flow out with any kind of speed. They do not state what the useful viscosity range is, but I would say anything higher than 40 weight or 50 weight (especially if it’s cold) are a no-go limit on this. On something like 5W or 0W synthetics in car engines, I would expect this to work great, especially if you do the oil extraction when the oil is warm / hot (as you should).2) It sure would be nice to have a valve at the end of the clear plastic tube so that you could create the vacuum in the vessel first, and then go extract your oil with your hands free to position the tip of the wand where you want it. When you pump it, you need one foot at least on the base of the canister and one hand on the pump. This is of no consequence for engine oil changes where the tube is stationary, but I can envision so many other uses for this “fluid vacuum cleaner” that it would be great to pump it down and then be able to use the wand intermittently to clean out tank corners, etc. As it is built, if you pull the probe out of the fluid, most of the vacuum is lost unless you’re real fast. A valve would make this awesome.3) I did not get a gasket for the spout, so every time you go to empty the pot, it dribbles fluid all down the side of it, so you end up using a bunch of paper towels every time it gets emptied. And the spout and its threads are coated with whatever your fluid is, so it dribbles all over my bench. I don’t think it woulda killed the manufacturer to give me a gasket like the one that is in the pump. I’ll have to get one from a supply house like McMaster. So I take away one star for having to correct something the OEM should have thought of.I’ll be keeping this for a long time, super useful on the right fluids, and priced right. With a few mods, it’ll be even more useful.

Good price and Performance
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Price and reviews led me to try this extractor. I admit I was skeptical, but it worked well, actually faster than I expected. I warmed up the engine first which I believe helps. I’ve read reviews where people complain about products like these being slow. It wasn’t like the quick lube place, but completely satisfactory for this home garage mechanic. Good bargain for the utility.

This device worked well to suck out the extra oil put in the car’s engine through the dipstick tube.

This is a great product. It makes changing oil very easy and easy to send off used oil for recycling. First time I must have pushed the drain suction hose too far in and inside the tank it curled up a bit so I only got 2 liters out. I pulled the hose further back and it was able to pull all 4+ liters out. A first time error. Now I know where to slide the tube ball marker so as to not do this again. Better to DIY your own Oil Changes. There is no reason to pay someone to do a simple oil change ever again.

Used this to do oil changes on my 750HDi Argo. Gaining access to the oil drain plug on an argo is almost impossible. This allows the safe and efficient extraction of oil without the mess. This has been fantastic. Highly recommend it.
