Love my new earbuds!!
I have been using my new Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd gen) almost non-stop since receiving them, and I must say – I’m in love! These are the best earbuds I have EVER used! I chose the purple ones, and the purple is such a rich color! It definitely stands out in contrast to the standard black and whiteThey fit very nicely in my ears, and stay secure for hours. They don’t move around and are very comfortable. Answering phone calls on them is very easy – and the sound quality on phone calls is super clear. I have been very impressed with the noise cancelling capabilities and the immersion sound setting is divine! I have been pleased with the battery life. It’s also very convenient that the case will also charge the earbuds.I have been extremely pleased with these earbuds, and highly recommend them to any music lover who appreciates great sound as they enjoy their music! Bose products truly are the best!

Great Premium earbuds
What I notice most about my Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds is they are super effective noise cancellation. This feature is excellent at blocking out external sounds, which is ideal for me when I need to maintain focus in my busy office work day or during my commute on public transportation. Beyond creating a quiet space, I’ve also been impressed with the “Immersive Audio” mode. It creates a 3D spatial effect that makes the sound feel as if it’s coming from all around me, which really enhances the experience when I’m listening to music or watching videos, especially when dolby atmos videos are supported. I could pickup where each individual noises come from. Only downside is not all formats support this video playback and when on cellular network, I noticed that carries keep pushing standard audio. The Bose Music app is also clean and useful. I found the app is necessary to access all the functions, allowing me to adjust the sound with an equalizer (EQ) and create my own listening modes. For more immediate actions, like playing or pausing music and answering calls, I use the basic touch controls right on the earbuds. They are also clearly designed for comfort over long periods. To make sure I got a secure and stable fit, they came packaged with multiple eartip sizes and stability bands, so I was able to find the perfect combination for my ears.

Bose Silence is Golden
Bose is out with its new QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) and they are a winning continuation of the QuietComfort Earbud line that was first introduced in 2020. The Gen 2 Ultras now come in four colors. In addition to the traditional White Smoke and Black, Bose has added Deep Plum and Midnight Violet colorways. Also new for Gen 2 is wireless charging via the case, in addition to USB-C connectivity, and case battery level reporting in the Bose app. Bose also claims to have improved call quality and its ActiveSense noise cancellation. I have the Gen 1 Ultras (which my wife has been coveting, hence the upgrade) and can attest to almost complete silence on a commercial flight. No jet engine noise or babies crying…just pure bliss. While have not yet flown with the Gen 2s, I have been mowing the lawn, again with almost complete silence except for the deep bass and pure highs of the music playing from my phone. Music reproduction is accurate and rich with a wide soundstage and telephone calls come through clearly and without distortion. The earbuds are very comfortable for prolonged use and fit securely once you find the right size tips and retention bands. There is even an Earbud Seal Test in the app to ensure best performance. With a battery life of up to 6 hours and several recharges available in the case, these earbuds will work for quite a while if used judiciously. I cannot say enough about the 2nd Gen Bose Ultra Earbuds beyond the fact that you will not be disappointed if you decide to make the purchase.

Worst noise cancelling I’ve used
I’ll start off by saying I did the fit test and checked for any issues. The noise cancellation is great if your sitting in a coffee shop and want to drown out light chatter but that’s about it. Any sudden noises will result in really loud pops that are worse than the noise itself. They constantly go in and out of quiet mode. The touch control is also all over the place. I wanted to like these because I love Bose and they sound great. But they do not have good ANC

LoudComfort
The QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd gen) are a stylish and convenient set of ANR earbuds with some nice customizations, good sound quality, but also a few drawbacks to weigh. The good:- My first test with these was to listen to an album i’ve been playing for years. I actually heard a new drum undertone on one song, a hi-hat rhythm on another, and a synth string progression on another. I was floored. I thought I knew every note of this album, until yesterday.- The sound quality is excellent, and the immersive modes are pretty cool to hear the music move around you Customizing the level of ANR is nice, though the ANR overall is not the best, and full or off were really the only two settings i found myself on- The app for setup/control is simple and straightforward. Now with the good comes opportunities to improve: unfortunately there were a few items here – none deal-killers, just making them less enjoyable and preventing a full 5* rating:- You could actually sleep with these; however the touch controls are too sensitive – my pillow or shirt activated the mode switch shortcut continually, so that’s not great – i do have low profile sleep buds though, so it’s not a big deal for me, but it would be nice to have a single pair to run the gamut- The right one seems to discharge a bit faster than the left. I usually walk my dog at night with a single earbud, so I can just use this one to balance it out- I used this for a call yesterday and the other person had a harder time hearing me, the mic position isn’t the best for callsOverall these are some great earbuds, the price and oddities make it a bit too much for a full 5 star review.

Gen 2, really? It say so on the box.. but there is no difference to these other than the grill on the earplugs compared to the gen 1⦠and wireless charging, but that can be bought for gen 1 as well.Gen 2 are good if you want great noise suppression and comfortable earbuds, but they are simply not good enough for calls, unless you want to be heard as youâre talking into a tin can. The charging case, which has support for wireless charging, is a bit bulky and Very very flimsy compared to Samsung Galaxy buds 3 pro or any of the AirPod versions. If you have AirPods or Galaxy buds or any buds that you are comfortable with and youâre happy with the noise suppression you get then do not, I repeat do not purchase these they are not That good, AirPods Pro are actually better.. if they fit!______Edit after firmware update 4.9.30 on August 6, which claims that it âIntroduced SpeechClarity voice enhancement for Bose best call quality yetâ⦠I tried their newest and best call quality IN A QUIET ROOM⦠and it still sounds like youâre talking in a tin can, not much of a difference. And since this is what they claim to be a Gen 2, i.e. a brand new hardware version it should have been updated with better microphones, well nope, it has the same crappy ones as Gen 1, itâs just a way for them to make us pay for firmware updates. Another Red flag, so again, stay away from Bose if you want good call quality they simply cannot deliver on that.

Way better than gen1. They haven’t even burst my ear drums with crackling yet.
