Ideal Gift for the Coffee and Tea Enthusiast in Your Life
Cafe du Chateau’s coffee press coffee maker is as stunning as it is functional. Versatile, it works great as both a french press for coffee and tea press for loose tea. Brewing up to 34 oz of coffee and tea at a time, it makes the ideal gift for the caffeine connoisseur.
Benefits of French Press Coffee?
You’re in control of the whole process, from deciding the grind, water temperature, and steeping time you can make a cup of coffee perfectly suited to your personal tastes. Enjoy coffee in its purest form, for a rich and aromatic cup of coffee.
How much coffee does it make?
Our French press coffee maker is designed with a large capacity glass carafe. It can hold up to 34oz (1000ml) of French press coffee, which translates to (8) 4oz cups of coffee.
How to use the french press?
Use 2 tbsp of coarse ground coffee (or loose leaf tea) per every 6oz of water. Pour hot water over coffee grounds and stir for 5 seconds to mix grounds evenly. Put on lid and push down plunger slowly. Let steep for 3-4 min. Pour and enjoy!
Can the french press be used to make tea?
Absolutely. The brewing methods are similar, instead of using coarse ground coffee, pour in the loose leaf tea of your choice. The large carafe allows you to extract more tea from your herbs than if you brewed just a single cup with a tea bag.
How to clean the french press?
There are 3 main components that require cleansing: the plunger assembly, glass carafe, and stainless steel housing, all of which are dishwasher safe. If you prefer to hand wash, use a mild dish soap and a sponge.
Transparent Lid for Easy Viewing – Features a clear top lid, allowing you to monitor your espresso without lifting the lid, helping to prevent spills and overheating.
Ergonomic Handle for Safe Use – The heat-resistant handle is designed to stay cool and positioned away from the pot for a secure grip. A built-in safety valve releases excess steam for added protection.
Includes Stainless Steel Clip Spoon – Comes with a 100% food-grade 304 stainless steel coffee clip spoon, ideal for scooping grounds and sealing your coffee bag for freshness.
Durable High-Gloss Finish – Made from premium food-grade aluminum with a mirror finish inside and out, preventing pitting, rust, and discoloration for long-lasting use.
Hand Wash Only – Allow the espresso maker to fully cool before disassembling. Rinse with warm water and mild soap; do not place in the dishwasher. Note: An adapter may be needed for induction stovetops.
Customers say
Customers find this French press coffee maker well-built, easy to clean, and appreciate its beautiful appearance. Moreover, the filter works effectively, and customers say it makes great coffee. However, several customers report issues with the glass carafe breaking, particularly when pouring hot water.

Superior French Press Coffee Maker
While I’m no coffee aficionado, I do enjoy a couple of cups of coffee in the morning as well as the occasional cup in the evening. Mornings require wake-up brewed coffee in as fast as process as possible while the evening cup can take an extra few minutes to deliver a relaxing cup of coffee. Over time I realized two different types of coffeemakers are required to satisfy my expectations. The morning machine is a heavy duty black and decker brewer that has served me well for a couple of years delivering its half a pot of coffee but the proper evening cup has continued to elude me. Until now. I first encountered French Press Coffee at a high-end restaurant in Los Angeles. Unlike any previous cup of coffee that arrived poured, this cup required steeping for a few minutes before the waiter poured it tableside. I was struck by the odd look of the unit and asked the waiter to explain it. Upon sipping the coffee,I was immediately struck by its smooth taste and proper temperature. Since that experience, I have tried several French Press Coffee Makers over the years but hadn’t really found one that I thought up to the task at home. Too often the grounds found their way into the cup-completely ruining the experience. But I’ve finally found one that delivers. What first appealed to me about the Café Du Chateau model was the plunger design that keeps the coffee grounds on the bottom of the carafe where they belong. It does this by way of a slightly thicker plunger and an included filter with a back-up replacement. Preparation is simple-hot water poured over the grounds, stirred a bit, then the plunger inserted snugly into the maker and the rest of the hot water poured in. Wait a few minutes then slowly lower the plunger to secure the grounds then pour your cup of coffee. I tried the suggested reference for two tablespoons of grounds to one cup but found the first batch too strong for my liking. I adjusted the measurement to about 1 1/2 tablespoons per cup and realized as close to a perfect cup as is possible. Another plus is the glass insert is thick enough to not be so fragile and is removable for easy washing. It can even go into the microwave if you wish to boil the water inside it first. It’s elegant looking and would look at home on a white tablecloth in a fancy restaurant or in my case a crowded countertop. Regardless, this is my new go-to maker for that perfect single cup. Forget the Keurigs of the world. This is the way real coffee should taste.

This is a very nice press
I am not a big coffee drinker, but my wife is. She loves the flavor of coffee prepared in a French Press. We purchased an inexpensive one from a local big box store, and although it has served us well, I knew we needed to upgrade to a better press eventually. It was not until we visited my sister that I got to use this press for the first time. I was immediately impressed with how much nicer quality it was compared to the press we had, and simply put…it made a better cup of coffee. So upon returning from out trip, I located it on Amazon, and purchased it. I must say that this is a very nice press at any price. I really like the fact that the beaker is removable from the handle base for easy washing. I must admit, figuring out how to remove it took a little trial and error. I had tried pulling it from the top, or gripping the lip and trying to pull it out with no success. I finally figured out that even pressure is the key. I inserted my hand inside of it and spread my fingers, I gently pulled to remove it…and it came right out. I really like the quality of the plunger and the screens. I have yet to find grounds in the bottom of a cup of coffee I have made. The extra screens are a bonus as well. The little manual that came with the press was also very nice as well. If you are new to using a French press, this manual gives you the step by step instructions that you need to make a great cup of coffee. All in all, I am very pleased with the press, and the results we have gotten from it. The price paid for the quality of appliance we got is pretty remarkable. I recommend this press to anyone either looking to upgrade an older one, or for those who want a quality, affordable press that produces great results.

basic and good for 2 regular coffee cups
This was my first french press so I don’t have anything to compare it to. My household uses a Keurig on busy weekday morning but on the weekends when my husband and I are home together, we use the french press. It’s got a bit of a learning curve to it in terms of how much coffee to use for your particular taste but it’s easy to use. When it comes time to cleaning it, the “press” part unscrews so you can clean all of the grinds out easily and completely. The only issue I have is I can not for the life of me, get the glass separated from the metal holder, my husband couldn’t do it either without great force so I was fearful he would break the glass. the instruction booklet does say it comes apart but it sure feels glued on to me. Maybe in time we will be able to get it apart but for now, it functions as one solid piece.

Beautiful, strong, well designed piece of kit. I’ve had many cafetiere’s over the years mostly cheap flimsy and let’s the coffee grinds into your cup or crack & break quickly. This works perfectly, feels nice to hold, looks amazing and was cheaper than some of the previous ones that haven’t lasted. Money well spent. #happycustomer

I bought this after scanning hundreds of coffee presses. This ticked all the boxes. I love the sleek sexy peel away design, the handle is secure and stable and the press lid is sturdy. It doesn’t leak nor drip when you pour coffee and it comes with a replacement metal filter which is a wonderful bonus. It arrived within two days of ordering and I’ve made two rounds of coffee so far and it is perfect. I’ve washed it and it comes out of the holder well and sits nicely in it so it is measured to perfection. Easy to rinse and clean and dry. I can’t see any faults and am very happy with it. I also love that there is a life long warranty on it. Additionally, I love the email they sent asking for a review, it was personal, friendly and polite and just shows great customer service. Would recommend to anyone interested in a French Press coffee maker.
