Welpâ¦we tried Walmartâs generic once and realized they donât stay up at all let alone hold even a paper holiday decoration. Truly donât even think of buying these generic. I waited for a great price on Amazon and then stocked up! Love the quality and the sale price was fabulous.

Velcro for the win
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Bought these to use for a curtain rode holder for my office. They seem to be doing well, however knocking a star off simply because some of them didn’t seem as sticky as they should be for being brand new and my rod fell a couple times even after cleaning the wall in advance before sticking them up. I love the velcro over regular command strips and plan see how they’d hold up outside for swags around Christmas time.Â

What I liked about this product is the excellent Velcro like surfaces and how well they stick together. Unlike Velcro, there aren’t two different kinds of material being pressed together, both are exactly the same. Its amazing.What I HATE about this product is that the adhesive that is suppose to stick to your wall is TERRIBLE! I followed the instructions and cleaned my wall and the item I was hanging with rubbing alcohol and waited well over 2 hours to insure it was perfectly dry. Then I stuck the 2 pairs of this product to my item I was hanging. It seemed to stick well. Then I peeled the backs off and pressed it onto the wall with extreme pressure holding for several minutes. It seemed to be sticking ok.As per the instructions, the next step was to gently pull out from the bottom separating the Velcro-like fasteners. When I did this step, the fasteners did not separate, instead it pulled it off of the wall where the adhesive was suppose to be holding it.I was sticking it to a smooth painted wall without any texture so it should have stuck. But no.Next I pulled everything off of the item I was hanging and threw them away and decided to start over with another set of this product. I repeated all the steps above except trying to separate the fasteners since that step was such a failure on my first try. I decided to just let it stay there as it seemed to be pretty solid. Until in the middle of the night, I hear a crash as my item fell to the ground shattering on the floor. It is an irreplaceable item and I am devistated. Never again will I buy a product from Command.

Used so far to mount our baby monitor camera bracket without needing to use screws on our walls in case we want to change locations later. Followed the step by step instructions and installation was easy and feels secure. I also plan to use these to hang a name size in the same nursery – this will be the ultimate test for us. Will edit in future when I finally get around to it and see the results.

I bought this to stick a 4 power point extension chord onto the wall.I am quite disappointed that the sticky part of the tape does not stick well and it keeps falling off.Am I doing anything wrong ?
