individually wrapped wood utensils
I purchased these and use them in my travels, more responsible than plastic. The wrap is paper and keeps them clean until use. Spendy, but I like them. 50 sets, 150 pieces – spoon, fork knife. Do they work like stainless? No, but I’ve got to say in my opinion they work better than plastic – less brittle. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

Theyâre good if you get creative with usage
Canât actually pick up food with those but they work for other purposes like seasoning food and feeding the cats without having to dirty an actual utensil.

Good sturdy disposable option.
We received the WoodAble – Disposable Wooden Cutlery Flowpack Dispenser | 150 Pieces (50 Individually Wrapped Sets of Fork, Knife and Spoon + Napkin) | FSC Certfied – Eco Biodegradable – Splinter Free | 100% Wood in exchange for this review. When going camping, you have 2 options. Either you bring reusable dishes and flatware…and have to deal with washing the dirty dishes and proper, ecologically safe disposal of that dirty soapy water, or disposable plates and flatware…and bringing your refuse out with you OR burning those items that are burnable if you ae permitted to have a campfire where you are. (ALWAYS check for burn bans and fire regulations wherever you camp!) Paper plates are great for the fire…but, of course, the plastic flatware is NOT eco-friendly at all. It cannot biodegrade nor is it safe to burn. This flatware, however, is made of super smooth finished wood. We recently tried this new alternative disposable flatware on a meal that included grilled chicken and baked potatoes and tomato soup.Pros:* The knife and fork were truly up to the task of cutting up and spearing the chicken.* The flatware was very sturdy feeling in spite of being no thicker than most of the flimsier plastic flatware…and the tines of the wooden fork never broke off (Unlike I have often had with plastic ones)* They are sturdy enough that you could wash and reuse them if you really wanted to.* Bering wood, they can either be used for kindling in your evening campfire, or packed out and added to the family compost pile, or at least know the utensils are biodegradable as they head to the landfill. The only con I could see is that the bowl of the spoon is rather shallow, so we couldn’t get much soup in each spoonful. (I later ate oatmeal with one, that worked better since the oats were nice and thick)I really feel this is a great way to make disposable flatware that is far less problematic than plastic.

What I wanted but not practical
Very cute, Aesthetically pleasing, spoons are great for use. Forks are short and wide not allowing for any food to be picked up. We ended up switch to regular metal forks.
