I have bought 4 now. They last about 6 months max. GARMIN IS THE WORST SUPPORT EVER. I will buy another model of gps soon because this piece of junk is required for garmin (sirrus) weather. By the way when you update the garmin software your G2 vision chip will no longer work. You will get charged 59/mo for the data chip service you already paid for. Dont Buy anything GARMIN. SUKS!!! By the way I should get 4 reviews but they wont allow that.

Perfect replacement for GXM 53 power audio module
If your MFD fails to see your GXM 53 and the light on the power and audio module is solid red replace the power and audio module. It only takes 10-15 minutes to swap out and my MFD immediately recognized my GXM 53 again. I then refreshed the signal and music and weather functions returned.Perfect fix.

They Fail Quickly Known Issue
These units fail quickly and GARMIN knows this. Save your receipt and call GARMIN when this fails and ask for a replacement. Just search GXM53 power module problems and see what pulls up!

Does not fit my Garmin GC 200. It seems the pins do not line up.
