Customers say
Customers find the tool chest to be a fantastic addition to their garage workshop, with excellent value for money and good functionality, particularly in small garages. The build quality receives mixed feedback – while the mounted rollers are solid, the drawers could be sturdier. The size and assembly instructions also get mixed reviews, with some finding it good for storing tools while others say it’s too small, and while assembly is generally easy, the instructions are inadequate for some. The drawer closure is problematic, with multiple reports of drawers getting stuck or not staying shut.

Very Pleased – 2nd Update Jan 18th 2021
First and foremost, this tool chest is not really for an application that a mechanic would need. This tool chest is small and suitable for home use. I was able to fit all my tools in it, along with 2 drills, a sander, and a variety of wrenches, screwdrivers, drill bits, and such. The shipment was delayed for 3 days. Given the reviews on other sites, breakage/damage was a concern when the day of arrival was switched.Upon receipt, this item was packaged very well. There was absolutely no damage to any part of it. Inside there were corners around the unit, covered in cellophane, and zero scratches or dents. The tool chest is easy to assemble. Everything went together very well. The instructions are good, but they do not specify the screws and which goes where. The best thing to do is start the screws where they appear to belong and it becomes clear. The only difficulty was screwing the two rear screws under the top drawer assembly to the middle compartment. The location of the screws is very difficult to visualize and may take a few minutes to get the 2 screws going.Overall I give the cabinet a 5 rating. It is thin, but very well made and sturdy. The casters are easy to steer and there is plenty of space for all hand tools typically used around the house. I attached a power strip behind the unit, this way I can roll it with a full electronics connection panel, with 2 USB ports. I have all my car cleaning tools, including a polisher, so having the 120 VAC power strip comes in handy. The instructions when it comes to labeling the screws and the location where they go need improvement, but overall I am very pleased with this tool chest. The brand of this particular chest is Ironman. I have seen the same tool chest under other brands, however, given the packaging, zero damage, and versatility of the chest, I would recommend this very same brand. Some of the reviews of the similar tool chest are poor and the overall experience for most are bad, and most appeared to have been returned due to damage.12/10/20 UPDATE Im changing this review to a zero. Last night I needed to get a screwdriver, none of the drawers would open. The lock on this unit is for the top component ONLY. So the lock does NOT lock any of the drawers. So, blaming the lock is as good as blaming the virus for poor service. The problem is that this manufacturer wants to have the soft closing drawers, but want to do ao with cheaper hardware, hence the failure. I would not recommend buying this. Only way to fix it is removing the riveted hardware. Given the cost and labor of doing that, the rating is a zero. Total waste of money. Dissapointing to say the least. One good day, them kaput.Jan 18 2021 Update: You live & learn. Back to 5 stars with regards to functionality. This toolBox has a hidden latch on the top compartment that keeps the drawers from opening. It is not partthe locking mechanism that is on the front of the unit. Rather it is apparently located on the small hinge that is on the center of the cover of the top compartment. When the top lid is closed it secures the drawers closed in place. When the lid is opened it unlocks the drawers. The instructions refer to the locking mechanism. To the best of my knowledge there was no reference to the drawer latch, juat the locking mechanism, which to me was the lock where the key to open the locking mechanism is located. .Unlime other carts, where there are one or two viaible push down locking pins, this particular tool cart has it within the hinge itself. Very well hidden. The instructions could be better written. This function wasnât clear and mixed in with the reference to the keys and the lock found on the top compartment.Bottom line, in order to open the drawers the top lid must be opened. To shut them, the drawers must be pushed all the way back, then when the top lid is closed, the drawers stay locked in place, when the lid is opened, the drawers easily open & close.

Absolutely Outstanding
I couldnât be happier with this orange tool chest! The bold color is not only eye-catching but also makes it easy to spot in a busy garage. Itâs built like a tankâsuper sturdy with smooth-gliding drawers and a solid locking mechanism. Thereâs a ton of storage space, and everything feels organized and secure. The casters roll effortlessly, even when fully loaded. Itâs clearly designed with both function and durability in mind. If youâre serious about your tools and want something that stands out while getting the job done, this is the chest for you.

Good Enough, But Not Heavy Duty
Just recently purchased this for home organization. I was in need of something in the office/craft room where I could have several small drawers, a cabinet, and places to stow some basic tools I use around the house. This fit the bill. I use the small drawers to fit some of the fly tying materials I use, that I canât easily store in the partitioned tackle boxes I have on the fly tying table. This cart fit the bill there perfectly.A few things to know:1) The cart isnât going to be as sturdy as something from Craftsman or even Husky.2) The unit is fairly small, so storage isnât going to be massive, or what youâd expect for something in a mechanicâs shop in a garage. This is a fairly small unit.3) This thing doesnât really lock. There are two hooking bars that can slide over the lock loops, and in that way you can lock drawers, etc, but itâs not like there is a locking function right off the bat that is easy to use.4) Itâs thin metal. Again, this isnât something heavy duty. This is probably best for light home duty more than anything. And the slides arenât exactly high quality. They arenât soft close, but they work and as long as youâre not slamming drawers shut, youâre going to be in great shape.Overall? Exactly what I was looking for. Nothing more, nothing less. Iâll update this review once I get some more mileage out of it, but for now freshly assembled and loaded up, it seems functional, good for the cost, and fits what I need for light home duty.

5 drawer tool chest
Good quality cart. It has a lot of storage options. The assembling was easy. My 15 year old put it together for me. It is medium weight which is good to store heavier equipment. But it is sturdy even though it is of lighter weight. I like the middle compartment with the lift up door. It is helpful to store odd shape items that is too small to store on the bottom and you don’t want to stoop down to look for.

Save your money!!
It is very, very flimsy. Arrived dented and the metal is easily moveable, certainly not for tool storage in a garage that actually gets used! The drawers are tiny and wobbly, the hooks donât actually have a mechanism to stay in the hook holes, so they pop out when opening or closing the bottom cabinet. Iâd maybe have paid $30 for the entire set up, itâs the size and quality of what Iâd give my 9 year old. The instructions are non-existent, but it is fairly self explanatory – also says to use a screwdriver, but you need to rachet the bolts down 𤣠BUYER BEWARE!

Totally annoyedâ¦
Looks great (just like a Craftsman box), seems pretty sturdy (enough for what I intend to use it for), storage capacity and organization possibilities are very good. I can only give it 3-Stars because NONE of the drawers stay closed! I placed this in a new build home/garage and I realize that the floor in the garage or any garage may not be 100% level, but câmon manâ¦.none of the drawers remain closed when you close them. This is very annoying and turning into a safety issue when I have to walk past it carrying something or with my view blocked by what Iâm carrying. Iâm thinking I will have to fabricate wedges to place in front of the front two wheels to allow it to tip backwards a little to keep the drawers closed. That totally kills the âmobilityâ of the unit. I know itâs not a Craftsman and you get what you pay for, but I surely didnât expect the drawers to not close. For that one discrepancy, I cannot and will not recommend this product to anyone.

Looked all over for a tool chest on wheels, and this one was very reasonable. Easy to put together and well made. Holds tons of tools and it rolls!!

VERY small toolbox set. Shipping was slow as they didn’t have any in Canada. Unit is lightweight, but still sturdy for a hobbyist/ home crafts use. Easy to assemble. Costs more than a larger, better-built set from Home Depot though. Goplus company was great and worked with me. They are reputable and I would shop with them again.

I like the design and how easy it was to put together. What I did not like was it arrived damaged on the edges of the upper tool box. It’s dented, where it was strapped down on both sides and the whole tool box is very flimsy

Garbage total junk poorest quality paper thin metal wobbly good luck trying to refund it customer service is ridiculous trying to get you to pay shipping charges to return it back to them or offering $18 discount to keep it at the most the item looks like it might be worth $40 but not for tools for toys or possibly a sewing kit storage what a joke what a waste of time and money and stress for this price and just a little more you can buy a great toolbox on sale at any big box store this product should not even be sold on Amazon.
