    Love the inspiration!
I had followed Jamie on Instagram for over a year and when I saw his book coming out I had to get it. He’s wonderful to listen to and his gardens are absolutely inspiring. (He’s also very easy on the eyes.) The book is full of inspiring, helpful hints, lovely for a beginning gardener or someone who enjoys reading about how to prep spaces and appreciate edible plants and ‘weeds.’ Not super advanced or technical, more of a Sunday read that gives helpful, down to earth advice.

So wonderful to receive my copy! Lots of great, regenerative information, written in an intelligent, articulate manner, accessible to beginners yet still packed with useful tidbits for the seasoned gardener. The illustrations are lovely and inspiring with a variety of useful diagrams interspersed. A fun, informative, and enjoyable read!

    Written just for us
Hurricane Helene washed away about 20 tons of our soil as we live along a large stream in Western NC.Besides losing cultivated flowers, the loss of our milkweed turned out to be most devastating .Although our vegetable garden was unharmed, I felt the need to recapture all those icky creatures on the wild plants which are probably somewhere in Tennessee now.20 tons of newly delivered soil, $400+ of ordered native plants( weeds?), a new greenhouse and a table covered in seed packets left us overwhelmed at best. This book has helped to put it all together for us. Although the amount of work ahead of us is frightening, we know where to begin.Having watched Mr. Walton on Instagram I ordered his book in March. His balance of cultivated and natural plants is unlike anything offered elsewhere. How he fitted all of this information into this 175 page book is mind boggling. This book is a great reference guide for our needs. The only criticism I have is that his recipes for nettles contain oil. We follow a WFPBNO way of eating that eliminates all oil. I’ll try a substitute after I can identify nettles from among all of our beloved weeds.WE LOVE THIS BOOK.

It is a great book for who is starting
It is a great book, with a vision and approach very easy to digest, it is about ecological gardening more than organic gardening which I loved. For me that have years growing my own food had information I already managed, what I took out was mostly his vision that his recommendations. It is interesting, If you are starting I will recommend.

Great garden ideas that anyone can do!
Amazing book! I have sat with it now numerous times to enjoy finding out more. I have already begun many similar practices like no dig gardening but this book helped see where I am headed next. I loved all the photos too. The awesome layout of info was easy to take in and I also know it will be easy to reference later when I want specific info… like who to plan together, or how to make compost tea…. This book has made the idea of planting from seed something much more doable. I’ll be starting a mini green house soon for seedlings.Thank you Jamie! I very much appreciate the effort and consideration… also love, you put into this book.

    Pesticide free gardening
I follow Jamie on Instagram and LOVE the gardening tips! When I saw the post about pre ordering this book, I jumped right on that! I probably have 20-30 of his IG posts in my saved folder because I absolutely LOVE the natural ways to keep pests away. I am so glad to now have all this information and more in a book and not in the cloud lol. Also, the photos are beautiful.

So absolutely thrilled with this book, have been following Jamie on Instagram and gained so many ideas and easy to understand advice on same. My best was your green tomato chutney, I didn’t have a greenhouse and last year’s tomato crop was green, green, green with such bad weather. Jamie’s green Tomato chutney popped up and was a major hit with family.I wanted to buy the book to support but when I received it, I’m so thrilled, it’s an absolutely wonderful gardening book and it’s already in full use.I’ve finally got my greenhouse installed this year but I’ve already reserved outdoor space for growing tomatoes as for sure, I’ll be making your green tomato chutney again this year. I’ve promised my local garden centre that I’ll pop them in a pot for lunchtime sandwiches.I love the fact that the book is so practical, fantastic with easy to understand instructions and the biggest bonus for me is the added recipes. I’m already looking forward to Nettle Pesto!.The design and layout of the book is so appealing. A week in and I’m beyond thrilled. Can see the book being garden stained, curling pages and used constantly over the coming years. My boys are already checking it out too which is a bonus.Thank you for a beautiful book❤️
