Work like a champ in penetrating dry wall into studs, hanging cable tray brackets.
I installed a 12-foot long cable tray in the garage, to put my Cat6 Ethernet cable up high and out of the way. These 2″ self-starting stainless screws have an 8 mm hex head with a flange. They were perfect for this project; no starting hole needed, they bite right in, and they’re long enough to penetrate 5/8″ dry wall and 5 mm bracket and still give about an inch of penetration in the studs behind the dry wall.Recommendations for dry wall mounting: Use a cordless drill-driver driving an 8 mm socket. Mark your position over the hidden stud (you’ll need a stud finder), hold workpiece to position, set the screw head in the socket, place on the marked position, and drive the WenSilon screws home. The flanged head means you don’t need a washer. Saves time, money, and inconvenience.Highly recommended WenSilon 2″ stainless screws.
