#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER A gripping Jack Reacher thriller from the bestselling authors Lee Child and Andrew Child

Don’t miss the hit streaming series Reacher!

Reacher had no idea where he was. No idea how he had gotten there. But someone must have brought him. And shackled him. And whoever had done those things was going to rue the day. That was for damn sure.

Jack Reacher wakes up alone, in the dark, handcuffed to a makeshift bed. His right arm has suffered some major damage. His few possessions are gone. He has no memory of getting there.

The last thing Reacher can recall is the car he hitched a ride in getting run off the road. The driver was killed.

His captors assume Reacher was the driver’s accomplice and patch up his wounds as they plan to make him talk.

A plan that will backfire spectacularly . . .

A Fun, but Flawed Reacher Book
This latest Reacher book is fun, but it has some serious plot flaws. There is plenty of action. The plot flaws have to do with times when the actions of the FBI and Reacher don’t make sense (no spoilers). Aside from that, I can’t understand how Reacher can continue to be completely ignorant about how computers, cell phones and apps work. Granted he does not own any, but he was supposed to be an investigator when he was in the army and presumably knew how to do his job. Since he left the army he has had plenty of time to learn the basics of 21st century communications even if just by osmosis. Just basic curiosity should have advanced his knowledge beyond what is portrayed.

    Reacher is Back
Yes, the real Reacher has returned in Book 29. “In Too Deep” has Reacher regaining consciousness, chained to a bed with a compound fractured arm, and unable to recall what happened. What follows is a complex and riveting plot that develops ever-so-slowly, not fully revealing its intricacies until the denoument, which is almost at the very end. However, it’s not an abrupt ending. The intricate plot with lots of characters requires thorough development and Lee and Andrew Child did their jobs well. In my opinion, this book is the first that has recaptured the essence of Reacher’s character since the two began their collaboration in Book 25. Reacher’s intellect, logic and ability to think like his opponent, therefore anticipating his actions and reactions, and his physical prowess, make him a formidable force. It’s those qualities that have made me a devoted reader of the entire series, some of which I’ve read more than once. What’s not to like? “In Too Deep” is worthy of all 5 stars!

Reacher series writing continues decline in this lastes novel.
I was really disappointed in the last book. Like most of the ones co-authored with the son, the writing is just not as good as the ones authored by the father alone. I thought it may have represented less input from Dad. From reading other reviews, I see I’m in good company. Yes, on the face of it, it is an interesting read. However, as I read it, I realized that again, it just didn’t ring a bell with me or the two other persons, I regularly pass Reacher books onto. Maybe because we all had read every Reacher book (and have good memories) we all agreed that since the son has been co-authoring, the quality is not as high. In fact, we thought the last volume was the worst yet. There also seemed to be a lot of gratuitous violence (not as much in this book) with the last three books. Reacher is violent and over-violent perhaps, but he basically is an admirable person: it was strange to see him go overboard in a couple of the recent past volumes. As with the writing, Dad is better the writing’s content. It is interesting that I never could tell that big a different when Clive Cussler took on a co-author, maybe a bit less good on the history, but writing seems solid..

TO KILL, TO GET MONEY, MORE MONEY, THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH SO KEEP KILLING
This is the first book in a long time I have read by Mr. Child, Lee or Andrew.”In Too Deep.” Who are any of these characters who has got in too deep. One or all, or maybe none. The book takes place in the Ozark Mountains. Jack Reacher finds himself in a place he has never been, doesn’t know how he got there, a very dark place. He is bound and tied up. Jack unties himself. His arm is broken, he has amnesia, doesn’t know much, he must wait until his brain clears up. Maybe it never will. He meets a man named Vidic, one of many names. Vidic promises Reacher he can help him get two million dollars. Reacher doubts Vidic. The boat goes in and out of low class motels and restaurants, dangerous characters who feel that a few millions is not enough. More is needed and so many of these characters who would be happy to kill anyone for what they can get from one who is supposed to be their partner. There is one hugs man, Kane, who his partners feel is a big, stupid oaf. He is far from it. The book goes from the Ozarks to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, then to a small island in the Bahamas. This book is much like all of Child’s books, a big, strong man who wants nothing to do with possessions, no belongings of any kind, even clothes. He goes all over the United States, a good man, who turns wrong into right. There are two women in this story, Paris and Jenny Knight, who resemble each other. Knight who wants to be a partner with Reacher. Jenny Knight is a Arizona detective who wants to kill Zach Kane. Zach Kane murdered her father in cold blood. She took time from work to hunt for him and kill him. This book is excellent for those who like fast paced books. There is much killing, much beating up one another, much cheating and busy to get rid of so called friends and have the money to themselves. But all is not enough, more plus more ways to kill and steal. Don’t trust anyone, be careful of those characters, none of them are who they way they are.

    Reacher at his best
Read em all and they just keep coming. Tough to put down, full Oscar action and a couple twists that only Reacher can see. If you’re a fan read it – you won’t be disappointed. If you’re not read it – you’ll become a fan. Let’s have to start back at book -1

Not as good as before when Lee Child wrote alone. Too much technomumbo and too little “Reacher”. Okey, but not more
