Every shop needs this
I have (had) another one of these but a very cheap one. This is much better and one of my favorites. The blade had a basic edge on it. I finished sharpening the .126 thick blade, and flattened the back. This took only a few minutes because the basic edge and back were not that bad. I flattened the sole, which not that bad as well. The frog was hard to check, but had good maching marks. The lever cap and screw work well, the blade adjustment fits well in the blade slot and has good adjustable operation. This fits comfortable in the hand. For this price this was a very pleasant surprise. I have some Jacobson clamps and like the build quality of them as well. This is a great tool for a great price.(guess I could have just said that and been done with it ð)

Very useful, and well made.
Very well made. Small and fits into my bag easily. A thick, stable blade, that holds an edge well and gives chatter free performance. Easy to adjust and holds it’s setting. Fits my hand well, or more accurately it’s easy for me to grip (it’s small and my hands are big). I find myself reaching for it often to take care of things as i notice them. Handy. An excellent value.Just right. I love this plane.

Good value and a good little tool.
Excellent tool, great price. I had to play around a little to adjust the blade to a comfortable level, but once I found the sweet spot, this little guy worked like a dream. Tiny, easily portable and gets the job done for a good price. For context, I needed a quick cheap purchase, as I have been looking all over for my planer which I don’t frequently use. I’m renovating my 300 year old home and some of the window parts have swelled and were no longer fitting in place. This was perfect tool for what I needed and I didn’t have to spend a small fortune on a new tool. Eventually, I will find my good planer but now I won’t have to drive myself crazy trying to find it.

A deal for the cost
I love the tool. It is very sharp and easily allows me to scrape off ribbons of shavings. The blade depth adjustment is a little hankie but once i got the hang of it we go along just fine. I am building a hand crafted rocking chair and it helps me get the finish i wanted. Very heavy and of good quality.

Exceeds to excess!
This little plane is everything I had hoped it would be, plus a little extra! I have always found this size of plane handy, but most of the ones you will easily find the bottom plate and sides, the frame of the thing, is made out of sheet steel bent up to form the sides and then ground to be passibly flat. Such planes only have one screw on them, corresponding to the bigger of the two on this one. To adjust the blade, you back off the locking screw somewhat, and then rap the blade with something to affect your changes. As primitive as that might sound, all in all it is effective enough…But this product brings the quality and features of much bigger and more expensive planes down to even this cute pocket size! Of course the blade positioning screw is the game-changer to accuracy you would think it is, but I had my slight fears that this whole thing might be executed poorly– you know, aping the look of quality and sophistication that isn’t really there? In this case, it is all there. The heelplate is the flattest I have ever seen, the blade thicker than I expected, and just to add to the overall sense of undeniable quality and value, the blade is sharper out of the box than any other plane I have ever owned– mostly Stanley, but they are sort of the common man’s standard in planes. In short, it has exceeded my expectations, and even hopes, in every particular, so if you are considering buying this tool, don’t read any further– just order it. You absolutely will be pleased with your decision once it arrives.

Great, solid little trim plane!
Very small in my hand, rock solid feel, thick, heavy blade, easy to adjust, easy to take apart for honing, cast iron body. I am really surprised at how much I like this little plane, I especially like that it is adjustable like a regular block plane. I have 3 block planes and 2 trim planes and I find myself reaching for this one as often as any of the others. I ran the blade over a strop shortly after I got this plane, no stone, just a strop to make sure it was all cleared up and found very thin, very nice shavings coming off of it very soon there after. I might buy a couple more of these guys.

It really works!
This little plane is cute as a button, and I was very pleasantly surprised to learn that it’s a real tool! The sole arrived dead flat, and the same was true of the back of the iron. All I had to do was put a tiny 30 degree bevel on the edge and it started making shavings like crazy. The body did not need any deburring, and the lip of the mouth is almost sharp enough to cut on its own if it weren’t flush with the rest of the sole. My only complaint is that dialing in the cut depth is a tad finicky; it doesn’t take a big adjustment to go from not cutting at all to cutting too deep. It would probably be a good idea to lightly camber the corners of the iron.Note that this is a bevel-up plane. That means that it requires no chip breaker, which makes it super simple to assemble and tune. The whole plane consists of three basic parts: body (with adjusting screw), frog (with tightening screw), and iron. This is an amazingly effective little tool for the price.

So Tiny it’s Cute
So tiny that its cute, but it works great for creating chamfered edges and smoothing edges and using on smaller pieces. I actually bought this as a joke gift for another woodworker, but once I honed the edges and used it, I changed my mind and kept it.The bottom was very flat, so setup was just flattening and honing the blade.

Questa piccolissima pialla sembra datta di buoni materiali, ed è ottima per piallare piccole parti di legno o bordi

Produto muito mal feito. Pintura e acabamento um horror. Achei os produtos da Sparta de melhor qualidade. Me arrependi

I bought the JORGENSEN 3.5″ mini wood plane for light touch-up work around the houseâmainly trimming door edges and cleaning up small woodworking projectsâand itâs done a solid job so far.Right out of the box, it felt well-made and sturdier than I expected at this price point. The blade was fairly sharp and only needed minor adjustment to get it just right. Once tuned, it produced smooth shavings and left a clean finish on soft and medium woods. This is not a tool meant for heavy-duty planing, so if youâre expecting to flatten large boards or remove a ton of material, this isnât it. But for tight spaces or detail work, itâs perfect. I especially liked the compact sizeâit fits in the palm of your hand and gives you great control for delicate jobs.A couple of small drawbacks: the blade adjustment mechanism could be a bit more refined, and it took a few tries to get the depth exactly where I wanted it. Also, the grip isn’t the most comfortable for extended use, but thatâs expected with mini tools like this.Overall, itâs a great little tool to keep in the toolbox for quick fixes and fine-tuning. I wouldnât rely on it for big tasks, but for small projects, itâs more than earned its place on my bench.

This mini planet has been such a great tool for quick clean up of dried glue, a rough spot and smoothing dowels cut for joinery. The price is incredible, set up was very simple and the blade is sharp!
