Customers say
Customers find the leaf blower and trimmer combo works well and is easy to handle, particularly noting it’s easier to use than gas-powered alternatives. Moreover, they appreciate its incredible power and consider it good value for the price. However, the battery life and durability receive mixed feedback – while the battery lasts about 40-45 minutes, some report it stops charging, and though the string trimmer lasts a long time, the weed eater breaks after a handful of uses. The weight is also mixed, with some finding it very light while others consider it heavy.

A great value.
So far, so good.Easy assembly. The trimmer and blower work as expected (trimmer is pretty good, blower is better than I expected). The supplied battery, when fully charged, can power through a medium-small urban front yard for both trimmer and blower. If you want to do that AND an average urban backyard in the same day, youâll want to order an extra battery.

âPowerful Weed Eater, But Heavy Battery: Stick with the 20 or 40 for Smaller Usersâ
I recently purchased this weed eater, and it performs impressively. It powers through thick grass and weeds effortlessly, and the battery-operated design is convenient and easy to use for most yard tasks. However, the battery is a significant drawbackâitâs very heavy. At 5â2â and 125 pounds, I found it tiring to handle for long periods, as the weight throws off the balance. For someone my size, Iâd recommend going with the 20 or 40 model, which likely have lighter batteries for better maneuverability.Overall, itâs a great weed eater for the price, but picking the right model is key for comfort, especially for smaller users.

A Decent Cordless Trimmer/Blower Combo
I recently replaced my 15-year-old gas trimmer with this cordless unit because I was tired of trying to keep the gas unit running. This is my first experience with a cordless model. I’m still getting used to it, having used the trimmer only 3 times so far. It seems to work quite well, although maybe not quite as powerful as my old gas model. I have a 1/2 acre of property, which probably includes at least 500 feet of curb, sidewalk, driveway and flower bed trimming. The first time I used it I walked quite fast and was able to trim everything reasonably well plus use the blower on all edging except the flower beds before the recharge light came on. This set came with a 2.0 AH battery, but since then I purchased a 6.0AH battery to make sure that I always had an adequate source of power to complete the job, at a slower pace. I initially had a problem trying to assemble the blower tube, but after a few minutes was finally able to put the lower tube on. I’ve had a problem with the trimmer string, in that on several occasions it partially welded itself on the spool. I’ve purchased a can of silicon spray, have sprayed the spool and so far the string appears to be playing out as it should. For what it’s worth, with the 6.0AH battery, the trimmer weighs about 8 pounds and with the 2.0 AH battery it weighs about 7.5 pounds. My old gas model weighed about 10 pounds with a full tank of gas, so being that I’m almost 80 years old, this is a bit easier to tote around. The blower does a decent job of blowing debris away. I would recommend this combo to other customers, and I’m hoping my “fix” to keep the string playing out will continue.Update – After reading another customer’s review, and looking at a picture of the blower, it was obvious that my tube was at least a foot shorter than it was supposed to be. Why was that? On closer inspection I discovered a tube located inside that one. (It had been jammed inside and took a little effort in removing it). However, after removing it, it was then easy to assemble the tubes, and with the partial “obstruction” removed, the air velocity was greater.

Much Easier than Messy with Gasoline
I’m happy that I got this Greenworks PRO 16 in. 60V Battery Cordless Attachment Capable String Trimmer with 4.0 Ah Battery. I already had a 2 Ah battery from a blower. This is so much easier than messing with gas. The ICE trimmers are powerful, but what I remember most is those few days when I wore my arm out trying to get it started, or the 20 minutes having to baby it until it would cut. NO MORE! This powerful trimmer has bump line advance, 2 speeds with trigger control of each speed from slow to fast, and a great shoulder strap that you will need because of the weight. This trimmer has a long reach, and can be set either for 14″ cut or 16″ cut. The battery lasts longer on the 14″ cut, so that’s all I used so far.The 4 Ah battery is heavy. This trimmer with battery weighs more than my gas trimmer. This is a pro model. It is not for my 100 lb wife. She can’t handle the weight or length, even with the strap. That isn’t a negative. Greenworks has many trimmer available in smaller weights and lengths. If I want one for my wife, I’ll get one of those. This trimmer is powerful. I like the way you can check battery status by pushing a button. One great feature is the variable speed controlled by the trigger. When trimming near a fence or wall, it’s easy to run at slow speed which cuts the weeds but doesn’t tear up the wall or string on the chain link fence. I’ve used it on both speeds, high and low. Low speed gives the longest battery life. I’m able to trim all but the toughest weeds and small branches on low speed. I get at least an hour of use on one battery charge by using low speed about 99% of the time. I’ll change it to 16″ when I do the larger hillside for better coverage. Overall, it is sturdy, easy to use, has great reach, is much quieter than gasoline, and has easy bump line advance. Highly recommended if you have a lot of grassy area to trim.

great product
Very happy with this set. Works great, can get just enough done before the battery dies (and I need to rest!). Lightest weight weed wacker I’ve found.

Please note that the battery in the picture is not the one delivered with it! I received the one on the left, which is incompatible with my existing accessories with the one on the right.
