Kreg Stainless Screws are specially designed for maritime applications, excessive exposure to water, and other exceedingly corrosive environments, such as ACQ-treated lumber. If you’re looking for the best in rust-prevention, this is your solution. Available in a variety of sizes, thread options, head styles, and quantities.
Premium Pocket-Hole Screw: 2 1/2 inch coarse thread screws have Maxi-Loc heads for softer materials
Sturdy Wood Screws: Square drives are easy to drive without slipping; flat bottom heads ensure tight fit
Accessible Carpenter Tools: Draw pocket-hole joints together without pilot holes with self-tapping screws
Heavy Duty Pocket Screws: Kreg screws are case-hardened and won’t strip; soft cores prevent snapping
Premium Kreg Tools: We offer products that help woodworkers close the gap between idea and outcome
Customers say
Customers find these stainless steel screws to be of high quality and durable, with one mentioning they work well on 2x3s and another noting they pull joints tight. However, customers report issues with the screws easily stripping during use.

Well made
These work very well, they are very shiny even for a stainless steel but so far they hold up very well upon install, time will tell

Be Conservative with Drill Setting
We used these in pocket holes to attach the end caps to a long raised bed in our vegetable garden. Since they are stainless, they will outlast the wood. They pulled in the joint nice and tight as is typical of Kregâs pocket hole joints, except for one screw. If you are going to use them in soft wood like pressure-treated which is what they are intended for, be sure to dial back your battery drill. I had ours set on 15 and I drove the screw right past the stop. I recommend using a setting of 12.

As advertised
Hopefully some day Kreg will enter the 21st century and switch to Torx or similar screw heads that maintain better contact with the driver bit.

Great
This worked great on attaching deck railings to post.

Great screws for many uses
I bought a selection of sizes originally, then another as I used them. I found the 2 1/2″ screws used the most, so I buy them in bulk.

Well suited to the task
I can’t speak to other brands of pocket screws, but I can speak to the downfalls of using non-pocket stainless screws in a pocket-hole application. Don’t do it. All I had on hand was 2 1/2″ stainless trim screws with a countersunk head. Instead of delaying my project and acquiring the right materials, I used the non-pocket screws with poor results. The countersunk head caused splitting in my workpiece that increased to unacceptable levels over the winter. I have since added additional pocketholes and used these screws with much better results.

If you need many screws and and fastening 2x lumber, it’s cheaper to buy and use the kreg hd jig and screws.

Stainless steel n’est pas la même chose que Blue-Kote Finish, ni le même prix! J’ai commandé la version “stainless stell” et j’ai reçu le “Blue-Kote Finish”, lequel était incorrectement étiqueté “stainless steel”.

While they are an expensive choice, I needed stainless steel Kreg screws for a project I was working on. Sadly they turned out to be of soft, poor quality metal as it was very difficult to drive these screws without the head stripping even using a Kreg #2 driver.
