Star drive stainless steel screws work great for rebuilding my wooden gates. The included star drive bit doesn’t cam out like Phillip bits. Good pricing too!

Perfect for the job
I used these to attach 5/8″ thick cedar boards on a new privacy fence. They were perfect for the job! They went into the pressure treated 2×4 backing rails like butter; no pre-drilling required. The heads are large enough to easily hold the boards in place with no danger of punching through the soft cedar. I chose stainless steel screws because regular steel or galvanized will react with compounds in the cedar wood, and form streaks.I plan on buying more of these to keep on hand for future projects. These are really superb screws.

A larger head makes these the best screws around
Nothing to complain about on these screws. They are a great price, the quality seems top notch and the best part is the head on them is almost 2mm bigger than a standard Deckmate #10 screw. I have never liked how standard screws bury the head way into the board before they start to pull the boards together reasonably. The larger head on these screws solves that 100%. You can still get the head flush or slightly below the surface but they pull hard.Head on these screws is 10.7mm and a normal screw is 9mm, with the same shank diameter that is 50% for area under the head on these screws.

The #10 x 3 Inch 410 Stainless Steel Deck Screws, 150Pcs Wood Screws T25 Star Bit were obtained to have on hand for the myriad of projects I find myself doing. With 150 star bit, as opposed to phillips head which tend to strip too easily, wood screws at this price point, you cannot go wrong. Being made of stainless steel, they should not rust (on the flip side, stainless is shiny, so depending on where you use them). You can easily go over them with paint the color of your wood or whatever you use them on/in. I use them with wood on my apiary or lake dock and they work great.
